Fishing

One of the most popular pasttimes in the Buckhorn area is fishing, as our lakes are full of walleye, pickerel, bass and a number of different sunfish. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced angler or a novice, a day on the water “wetting your line” is a great way to spend the time. Many of the resorts have boat rentals and there are a number of fishing charters available in the area as well.

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. May 7 & 8, 2022 June 18 & 19, 2022 July 2 to 10, 2022

Indigenous Culture

Created in 1988, Curve Lake Cultural Centre is a source of knowledge dedicated to keeping traditions and ceremonies alive within the community. The Cultural Centre is a place to immerse yourself in the history and culture of First Nations people.
