WONDERBRUNCH Every Friday, Sofra BLD creates a wonderland of fun activities for children while the adults can enjoy the signature brunch buffet with cuisines from all around the world. Guests can focus on having a great time sampling traditional dishes from the food stations dedicated to different regions, while the team at the awardwinning restaurant keeps the little ones entertained with a wide range of games, art and crafts sessions. To make sure the children are also enjoying the food selection, Sofra BLD also has a dedicated kids’ buffet. That’s not all, brunch-goers can enjoy the excellent view of Abu Dhabi’s iconic landmarks from the luxurious infinity pool and private beach. Inclusive of complimentary beach and pool access, the WONDERBRUNCH at Sofra BLD has a live band, a kids’ corner and beverage stalls starting from AED279, every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Kids below 6 years dine for free; children aged 6 to 12 years can dine for half price.

DIAMOND AFTERNOON TEA - VALENTINE’S EDITION The Lobby Lounge will host a special edition of its Diamond high tea throughout February with prices starting from AED266 for two. Served daily from 2:30 to 6 p.m, the ‘Pink Love Afternoon Tea’ will feature red and pink savouries and pastries – all served in a heart-shaped display. Pink bubbly or sparkling grape juice will be available in addition to coffee and tea selections. Guests will also be invited to choose between Diamond Gallery boxes displayed in the hotel lobby for a chance to win a diamond. Two special drinks - “Cold & Cloudy” and “Passion Drop” – have been added to the menu at The Lobby Lounge and the adjacent Al Hanah Bar in celebration of the season of love.

CHINESE NEW YEAR
SMOKING VIBES FRIDAY
For the Spring Festival, the hotel’s signature restaurant – Shang Palace – will serve an authentic Cantonese dinner from February 4 to 19. The set menu consists of eight courses, inclusive of three varieties of mains, and is available from 7 until 11 p.m. The dinner is designed in a way that it recreates a family reunion experience, allowing guests to take part in the revelries just as they would in the mainland. Two Mahjong tables will also be set up at Shang Palace for families and friends to enjoy the historic Chinese game during the two full weeks of celebrations. The set menu is priced at AED388. Children aged between 6 and 12 years can enjoy it for half price, while younger children can dine for free. A La Carte menu is also available.
COMME A LA MAISON Literally translating to “like at home”, the new ‘Comme a La Maison’ menu at Bord Eau features three courses of French comfort food for AED123 per person. Served daily, these dishes will only be available between 6 and 8 p.m.

NEW DIM SUM MENU AT SHANG PALACE
The ‘Comme a La Maison’ menu will change twice a month, giving fans of French cuisine the opportunity to experience new flavours on each visit. Bord Eau is known for its unique approach to cooking traditional recipes and presenting them with a contemporary twist. The much-loved French restaurant is open six nights a week, from Sunday to Friday, for dinner service from 6:30 until 11:30 p.m.
SEAFOOD SHACK THURDAYS Kick off your weekend in style with a vast array of fresh local fish infused with aromatic spices and delicious signature flavours from regions such as Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt and the UAE. Every Thursday from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Afyä Beach Lounge. Package: starting from AED141 per adult (food only), and AED 71 per child. ZENTS AT CHI, THE SPA CHI, The Spa introduces an exclusive range of signature treatments with the healing qualities of Zents products. The new treatment range is categorized based on different wellness needs and features personalized experiences like Age-defying Quench, Stress Relief Massage, Probiotic Heal and Hydrate and Vibrant Life. At the start of the wellness experience, guests are asked to choose a preferred aroma which will act as the base note for the entire treatment. The bespoke experiences at the award-winning spa are aligned with the four core scents of the Zents line – Manadarin, Ore, Oolong and Sun. Each aroma, while beautiful on its own, can be mixed to create a personalised essence. ‘Mandarin’, inspired by the spice markets of Thailand, is a warm and invigorating range that includes hints of ginger and cardamom. Ideal for evenings, ‘Ore’ offers a euphoric and stimulating experience with soft notes of clove, orris and ylang ylang. WOMEN’S HERITAGE WALK The Women’s Heritage Walk from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain is an annual trek honoring the women of the United Arab Emirates who helped shape the nation. From 1 to 5 February 2019, 50 women will cross 125 kilometers of dunes in the UAE. The Walk focuses on 4 important pillars: women’s encouragement, culture and heritage, health and wellness, and community building.
