As an Appalachia native, I’m no stranger to all the various forms of beauty that these mountains provide. Not even a hurricane could wash away the resilience of the Appalachian people, and for that I’m eternally grateful.

Although Hurricane Helene brought great devasation into the area, the deep love and care that has been poured out by local communities on those who have been affected is one of the many reminders that WNC is a wonderful place to live.
