Even worse, they may not know how to distinguish between the two types of real estate agents – the one who works for the buyer, and the one who works for the seller. Not understanding the differences in those roles can be a painful mistake for real estate purchasers. But savvy buyers know the value of having their own representation when it comes to navigating the often-stormy real estate seas.

Consider the following benefits, and make sure you have a professional in your corner for your next real estate purchase: 1. Buyer’s agents work for you, not the sellers. The buyer’s agent is dedicated to you as the buyer and legally has your greatest interests at heart. They are “best price” negotiators who know the local markets and true value of the property. The buyer’s agent will handle all the paperwork necessary on your side of the transaction to bring it to closing. The really good news is that, even though the buyer’s agent is working for you as a buyer, they are almost never paid by you. Their professional services are covered as part of the commission the property seller pays.

2. Buyer’s agents will help find the property you are looking for and arrange showings.
