If I was going to pick holes it would be that this unit cannot stand up on its own so if you don’t use the wall mount it needs to be lent against something or laid down flat when storing away. If this is your first experience with a Vax cordless you will be blown away by the power it produces, it can pick up dust, dirt and hair on hard floors, carpets and furniture, the added bonus is that it is quieter than most corded vacuums which hopefully won’t scare your pets.

KOO-DI suN & sleeP POP-uP TraVel bubble cOT The first impression of this Bubble Cot is it looks sweet and the design promises a useful product, it aims to be used as a sheltered play pen or safe space to have snack time for baby outside. The Sun & Sleep, as the name suggests has a blind which blocks up to 93% of harmful UVA & UVB rays keeping delicate skin safe whilst enjoying the warm sunny day. The Black Out Blind is supposed to be for nap time but it doesn’t create the dark environment I hoped for, as a little light still gets in from the top and edges of the cot which might be a distraction for some sensitive babies. The integrated zip-up mosquito net is a perfect addition for British summers, keeping flies and other buzzing creatures away from baby. It is lightweight, weighing in at less than 2kg which is great for those long treks from the car, over the dunes and to the beach or to your favourite picnic spot. It is straightforward to assemble, quickly pops out into shape, and more surprisingly is easy to fold away again into a neat little package, it is 77 x 100 x 60cm when assembled and 20 x 60 x 18cm when folded down. This cot comes with a padded base mattress for some added comfort but it is a little on the thin side, some extra foam or a Moses basket mattress would make it a more comfortable place for a rest, especially on hard or uneven ground. This travel cot is suitable for 6 months and up, however if you have a fidgety baby the flexible sides won’t put up much resistance to crawlers and rollers, it is much better suited for quiet relaxing times. With a reasonable price and compact, portable design it can be a handy addition to your baby arsenal, best suited for those who enjoy long days outside in the fresh air.
