We’re very pleased to offer our Spring 2021 programming which runs April to June, and also includes Summer Camp information. Dr Henry has extended the Public Health Order indefinitely at the time of publication, so some of our programs are restricted or postponed. Please continue with physical distancing and observing all the directional signage around the building. Masks are mandatory in the Roundhouse (please see the first bullet point for exceptions). Contact the front desk if you have any questions.

We have implemented policies and procedures to ensure patrons are able to physically distance. Please read below.

• **Masks are mandatory inside the Roundhouse at all times with the exception of those under the age of 12 or those with medical conditions that prohibit mask wearing. Masks may be temporarily removed when participating in sports and fitness.

• Each patron is to self-assess their health. If you are feeling or showing any symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, runny nose, etc.), do not enter the building.

• Be cognizant of new signage including new flow of traffic, physical distancing reminders, new maximum capacities for classroom and washrooms, and exits.

• We will have one main entrance and one main exit. However if you are registered in a class you will exit directly from the classroom to the exterior of the building, and will not exit back through the facility.

• Check your receipt and review which room your class will be held in (e.g. Mews side, Gymnasium, Exhibition Hall, Room B) • as some rooms have been changed due to social distancing restrictions.

• Class sizes are now smaller.

• Check-in to your class no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start time and no later than 5 minutes. No late entries will be permitted at this time due to scheduled access to the facility. Be ready to begin, as access to washrooms may be limited • Limited shared equipment - please bring your own equipment to use during the class (mat, towel, paddles, racquets, etc.)

• Water fountains are only accessible for bottle refill. The mouth pieces will not be turned on.

• Time spent in the centre will not be like it was in the past. The centre will not be a place where patrons hang out or mingle. Access will be purpose-based (participation in programs, registration or washroom use) • Parents are not permitted to watch programs or wait in the facility for their children’s programs to end.

• For younger age programs, the instructor will meet the families on the first day at the Mews side entrance and show parents the designated drop off and pick up for future classes.

• Drop-in options are not available at this time.

SUMMER CAMPS When summer arrives, everyone loves a summer camp.

With everything from Sportball to Arts, we’ve got a camp for kids and youth ages 6 to 17. Choose from the following for a fun, summer experience!

Poet in Residence Angelica Poversky March – May 2021 FREE Poet in Residence webpage bit.ly/PIRinfo Angelica Poversky joins the Roundhouse as Poet in Residence. Angelica is a queer trans non-binary poet, dedicated to building cultures of nurturance and expressing our future through poetry. Specializing in giving voice to youth Angelica invites teens and young adults to join in on a number of online poetry escapades throughout spring 2021: Abundance in Poetry, Flaming Balloon Collective, Page to Stage Workshop and Spoken Truth with Angelica.

Recycled Art Exhibition Mon Jun 7, 11am-1pm, register with #321001 Create art out of recycling. The Roundhouse staff will be collecting their recycling over 3 months to create an art display and a statement on the plastic issue in our world. City of Vancouver Green team will be joining in as well.

Breakwater Some Assembly Theatre Company and RHYTAG Some Assembly’s new multi-media production Breakwater addresses the increase in mental health struggles among youth due to COVID-19. This insightful and incredibly moving theatre piece promotes self-care, compassion and strong caring communities. Breakwater will be filmed during BC Youth Week and accessible from Some Assembly’s website.
