Social Investment Business

The Social Investment Business is made up of the charity, Social Investment Business Foundation, its social enterprise, the Social Investment Business Ltd and our partner's Social and Sustainable Capital. We are one of the UK's largest social investors and have made over 1300 investments in civil society organisations ranging from under £5,000 to almost £7 million since 2002. We invest in viable, non-bankable projects: facilitating their move into more enterprising ventures; strengthening them; investing in excellence; and bringing to scale the most innovative ideas. We bring finance, knowledge and expertise to help civil society organisations thrive – improving their infrastructure, increasing their capacity, helping them bid for, and win, public service contracts. We are an engaged investor and believe in investing more than just money in our investees because their success is our success.
