Menelao “Boy” Barcia

was a barangay councilor and an official of Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Mamamayan ng Hacienda Dolores. He was involved in uniting the farmers of Hacienda Dolores against the moves of the Triple L Company to grab their lands. Menelao had also been monitoring of the administrative charges against Barangay Captain Antonio Tolentino. On May 2, 2014, Barcia picked up his wife from a gas station in Angeles City. While driving back, two motorcycles drove alongside of them. The unidentified men fired at Barcia’s vehicle, killing him instantly. He sustained four gunshot wounds – three in the chest and one at the back of his head.
