Welcome! EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FROM OUR

Sherry Thompson Giordano

The most exciting year of my life was 2014! That’s when I became Executive Director of the PACE Center for Girls of Miami, with the opportunity and privilege to build this Center from a vision to a reality. Building out our physical space, recruiting the Board, introducing PACE to the Miami community, hiring and training our team, identifying and recruiting PACE Girls and finally opening our doors here in Miami, has been so rewarding over the past 5 years! As it’s turned out – every year with PACE has been so exciting! There is nothing like witnessing a young Girl grow and blossom with the realization she has a voice and a future. Not only can she break the multi-generational cycle of poverty, she can also discover her full potential. Our PACE Team is committed to a high calling: to save our Girls’ lives. Each teacher, counselor, manager, community coordinator, program assistant and aide has committed their all to our Girls and our Girls know that! Our Girls feel safe and empowered – a great combination. PACE Center, Miami Location:

I invite you to join the excitement and personal reward of being a part of a program that not only saves Girls’ lives, but also prepares them for a brighter future and enhances their contribution to our community.

1400 NW 36th St. Miami, FL 33142 Please come visit our PACE Miami Center – we promise you will leave with a smile on your face knowing that our Girls are getting a life-saving opportunity.

Sherry Thompson Giordano Executive Director PACE Center for Girls of Miami

PACE Center for Girls is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) providing girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. The well-established PACE operating model (since 1985) combined with my prior business experience, gave our Miami center a solid foundation. My professional journey from the early days of the technology industry to the nonprofit world has been gratifying -- I learned so much about best business practices, team building and accomplishing goals, and have brought this experience to our operations here at PACE Miami.

THANK YOU! We would like to take this opportunity to thank our financial supporters. Our Community Foundations who believe in the mission and vision of PACE Miami and who have provided not only financial support, but have also introduced us to an amazing network of organizations with whom we partner, enabling us to offer a broader spectrum of services for our Girls. Thank you also to our Supporting Companies who valiantly give back to our community through thought, word and deed. Your volunteers are greatly appreciated and your financial assistance helps us create a stronger program. And to our Individual Donors who attend our Lunch & Learns, our events, work on our committees and have become advocates for our Girls – we thank you for all you do for PACE Miami. Because of you all we are able to offer a strength-based, trauma-informed and gender response program for our Girls so they can reach their full potential!!
