T exas Resta ur a n t F ou n dati on & Tex as P r o sta r t P rogr a m It is the mission of the Texas Restaurant Foundation (TRF) to provide educational opportunities to build and maintain a strong professional foodservice workforce in Texas. A beneficiary of tonight’s proceeds, TRF develops top-shelf educational resources and experiences for foodservice professionals statewide. Your chef, server, hostess or bus person is likely more knowledgeable & proficient because of the TRF’s emphasis on education. One of TRF’s signature successes is the Texas ProStart Program. This project enables those high school students interested in a culinary career to learn their craft from an industry professional. They thank you for helping sustain the Texas ProStart program tonight so we can continue to cultivate young professionals who will be leaders in our industry tomorrow. On behalf of the Texas Restaurant Association, we value your support and thank you for being with us tonight.

At the heart of the Food in Fashion Show is showcasing the students in local ProStart Programs during our Ben E Keith Culinary Competition. The North Texas high school teams listed below are in the Texas ProStart program. Supported by the Texas Restaurant Foundation, ProStart gives public high school students the opportunity to learn about the art of managing restaurants and cooking meals. While training with professional chefs and getting valuable classroom instruction, ProStart students can also earn college credit- and make a little money while gaining hands on experience!

Ad ri ana M a r t i n e z Adriana Martinez is a Dallas metroplex native. She has been in the beauty industry for 20 years and is the owner of Revel Workshop, an elite, education-focused hair salon in Dallas’ Design District. Adriana is coowner of Lucky Mouth Grocery, Dallas’ first and only 100% vegan grocery store. Lucky Mouth was born from Adriana’s desire to educate people on the benefits of a plant-based diet. Adriana lives for the State Fair of Texas, has never met a potato she didn’t love, and she always looks fresh and fab as she seeks out the best vegan treats. Her distinct fashion sense is sure to be shown off with a bold blazer and the latest in vegan footwear.
Ti f fa n y Moon Tiffany Moon, M.D. is a mother, fashion-lover, anesthesiologist, beauty guru, and season 5 cast member of Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Dallas. Having immigrated to the United States at a young age and graduating from medical school at the age of 23, she understands the importance of perseverance and hard work. She is the founder and CEO of Aromasthesia Candles and Three Moons Wine. Tiffany loves to express her creativity and humor through her TikTok channel. She resides in Dallas, TX, with her husband, 4 children, 2 dogs, and a rescue bunny named Mochi.
Neri ssa H e l pe n st i ll Nerissa developed her love of fashion as a child while spending time with her glamorous Grandmother, whose closet was a playground of colorful clothing and jewels. From a young age, clothing was her creative pallet and she learned that you could change your point of view by slipping into a new dress. Flash forward and she is applying that same fun-loving outlook to her work at Tootsies, which she has transformed into Dallas’ go-to fashionable playground. During her 10 years as the Store Director at Tootsies, she has rebranded the store as the premier destination in Dallas for an exceptional (and fun!) shopping experience. 2021 was an eventful year for Nerissa, leading the complete remodel and grand reopening of Tootsies following a flood in last February’s winter storm. The newly redesigned Tootsies space reflects a modern perspective on shopping and flow, focusing on shoppers’ experience as they explore the space. Nerissa also serves as the Regional Director of Fashion Group International of Dallas, an incredible professional organization that connects industry leaders and develops local talent in the areas of Fashion, Art, Beauty and Design through events such as the annual Night of Stars Gala.

When Courtney isn’t testing new skincare products, drinking dirty martinis with her fiancé, or shopping for yet another black blazer to add to her closet, you can find her eating Tex-Mex (at Kyle’s newest concept, Joe Leo, of course!) or hanging with their four-legged gal pal, an English bulldog named Bossy.
