MUNDY MILL COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER Summer 2021 SUMMER IS HERE! We hope that everyone is getting out and enjoying the nice weather. Summer is finally here and with it comes the urge to get outside and spruce up that landscape. When driving through the community, it is nice to see the beautiful landscapes. It is also an ideal season to make any maintenance and construction repairs that might be needed. According to the CDC as of May 2021, if you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activi-ties that you did prior to the pandemic. Keep in mind, if you have a condition or taking medications that weaken your immune system, you may not be fully protected even if you are fully vaccinated. The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings, but this will help clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools, and other venues. Please remember the Social Distancing Guidelines. We have a surprise event coming up that is not listed in the calendar, so keep an eye out for e-mail blasts!

A MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER Happy Summer! Summer is finally here and Mundy Mill is open to full capacity once again! We are so grateful to all of our residents for being patient and cooperative during the terrible pandemic. Although, we still have to follow the Social Distancing rules and some altered pool rules, I’m sure everyone is happy to be able to use all of the amenities once again! As I have let everyone know previously, I was in the same boat in the community I live in where the pool was closed for the season in 2020, but my community is now back up and running as well! It’s so good to see everyone enjoying the swimming pools and the pavilions. We have been booked every weekend with parties for the pavilions in June and now July is coming up fast on our heels! I had an awesome milestone of my own in May. My son graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in Business Management! I am a very proud mom to say the least! Unfortunately, it was virtual so I had to accept the lingering circumstances of the pandemic, but he traveled down to Georgia with a bunch of friends so we could celebrate all of their successes from college! I wish congratulations to all of those parents with children who graduated from college, high school, pre-school and kindergarten!!!

The Pools at Mundy Mill Are Now OPEN!

POOL HOURS

Monitors. Best practice...wait at least 30 minutes after eating snacks or a meal before re-entering the pools.

The pools opens at 8:00 a.m. for Mundy Mill Residents. The pools close at 10:00 p.m. and Pool Monitors go off duty.

POOL CLOSURES

POOL SAFETY Please pay close attention to the pool rules which are intended to ensure a safe environment for all residents. Please be aware that Pool Monitors are primarily responsible for making sure the rules of the pools are being complied with. Parents are responsible for monitoring and supervising their children at all times, while in the water and on deck and, ensuring they observe the rules for their own safety. The majority of our parents are diligent in this regard, but there are still too many instances of unsupervised children. We ask that you give your utmost attention to this and your full understanding and cooperation to the Pool

Please be aware that pool management and staff have the discretion to close any pool for safety and weather related reasons. If a Pool Monitor hears or sees lightening or thunder, everyone will be asked to get out of the pool. If lightening is seen, the monitors may direct everyone to leave the pool area. The waiting period before pool and pool area re-entry is 20 minutes for thunder and 30 minutes for lightening. The clock starts over each time a monitor hears thunder or sees lightening.

Chick Fil A Copycat Frosted Lemonade Ingredients

• 1 cup Lemon Juice fresh squeezed • ½ cup Sugar • ½ cups Water • 4 cups Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

1. Add lemon juice, sugar, and water to a blender. Add the vanilla ice cream. Use about the equivalent to 4 cups. 2. Blend until smooth. Pour into four cups and enjoy!

Grilled Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken Ingredients

• 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, or thighs • 1/4 cup lime juice • 1/2 cup honey • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce • 1 Tablespoon olive oil • 2 garlic cloves minced • 1/2 cup cilantro finely chopped • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

1. In a small bowl combine lime juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper. 2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and let marinade for 3 hours or overnight. 3. Preheat your grill to medium high heat. Grill each side of the chicken for about 3-4 minutes or until cooked throughout and no longer pink.

We understand that no one wants to receive those pesky violation letters! The most frequent violations that can be easily avoided are: TRASH CANS Trash cans and Recycling cans must be stored out of view from the street or neighboring properties. Also, they should only be put out at the curb no earlier than 5:00 pm the day before pick up and put away no later than 9:00 p.m. the day of pickup; •

VEHICLES AND PARKING Vehicles must be parked in garages or driveways and may not be parked elsewhere on the property. There is no parking on the streets. Unlicensed or inoperable vehicles are considered a nuisance and must be removed. YARD SIGNS Yard signs are not permitted unless otherwise authorized by the HOA. If you have a contractor working on your home, please make sure they do not place a sign in your yard. •

EXTERIOR OF HOME Please keep your property in a clean, well-kept manner (yard tools, debris etc. should be removed promptly). This is including the rear of your home when your yard is visible from any street or neighboring property. The exterior of your home (including the roof ) should not have any rotting wood, missing shutters, peeling paint, mold or any other unsightly conditions; •

LAWNS & WEEDS Please ensure that your lawn has been properly treated for weeds and fertilized; lawn maintenance should occur on a regular basis and your lawn and landscape beds should be free of weeds and grass and enough pine straw or mulch should be installed at least twice per year; •

PETS All pets should be leashed or otherwise controlled by the owner when outside a home and shall not be allowed to become a nuisance by barking or other acts. Owners must clean up after their pets. •
