COMMITTEE CORNER

The Community Awareness Committee has several current action items. First, working with Gwinnett County to install a traffic light at the intersection of Hog Mountain Road & Hamilton Mill Parkway. Next, working with county code enforcement on 2476 Hamilton Mill Rd, (abandoned gas station) code violations. Lastly, the committee is currently pursuing a proposed pub at the Homestead subdivision on Hog Mountain Road.

The Grounds & Facilities Committee has completed fall/winter seasonal color selections for the entire community. THANK YOU to master gardener and committee volunteer, Melissa Ollson, for her time & expertise in plant selection.

Pickleball Committee - Pickleball continues to grow within Hamilton Mill. Our committee's main goal is to advocate for pickleball within our community. That means advocating for the maintenance of the existing courts, additional programs (like round robins, tournaments, clinics), expansion, working with our pickleball pro for engagement opportunities, and league play. We are always looking for more pickleball advocates to join us.

The Social Committee is gearing up for this year’s holiday events; Pictures with Santa, Gingerbread House Decorating and Letters to Santa. The committee has once again partnered with The Quinn House for our Angel Tree to collect toys and items for financially needy local children and seniors. Also, in November & early December is a Food Drive benefitting ‘The Pantry’ at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church and serving local families.

The Technology Committee is currently working with SSP, our amenity card provider, on a solution that will allow homeowners to use their phone to both open doors and verify their access to our amenities. They recently added a computer to the Board Room, complete with a camera and microphone/speaker combination. This will improve the ability to host video conference calls in that room.

The Tennis Committee completed & submitted their 2025 budget proposal to the HOA Board. The Millview courts were recently resurfaced in July. Replacement LED lights have arrived and the burnt-out lights around the courts will be replaced soon by an electrician
