The President's View Taking Stock – 2022 and Beyond

Hopefully, we all enjoyed a wonderful Holiday Season as we prepare to do a page turn on 2021 and face the challenges and opportunities 2022 has in store for us.

Cresswind’s history dates back to 2005. Its early beginnings were a stark contrast to where we are today. Our community was populated by a small number of energetic and visionary residents, who remained steadfast, undaunted, and unhampered by the untimely bankruptcy of Levitt and Sons as they forged ahead. To better understand that part of Cresswind’s Legacy, I urge you to obtain your own copy of our Heritage Work Group’s first project, entitled “Our Cresswind Heritage – Volume 1, 2005-2009”, which has been available since early December.

As we bid farewell to 2021 and await the unfolding of 2022, it is important to take stock of those humble beginnings, the period of fear and uncertainty which then ushered in the arrival of Kolter and the Cresswind of today. It is timely and appropriate to fast forward to the completion of the era of our developer, Kolter, and take stock in where we are since we took control of our community and its destiny after signing the Community Transition Documents in August of 2020 and now have been on own ever since.

A glance back should be all that is necessary to see how we as a community have traversed the last 16+ years. We have weathered our Rules and Regulations, the everchanging landscape of our community and the Covid-19 Pandemic and its lingering effects.

The Great News is that after encountering and addressing the adversities we were compelled to confront, we have emerged wiser, stronger and in complete control of our destinies going forward. It is easy to cite numerous successes, initiatives, and progress even in the difficult period of the last 1-1/2 years. Lead by dedicated resident volunteers populating our HOA Board, Committees, Clubs, The Cresswind Community Fund, Veterans Groups, Work Groups and dedicated Community and area support groups, we have shown our fortitude, commitment, and compassion,
