It’s booing time

WHAT IS BOO-ING????

Reunion has a fun Halloween tradition called ‘Boo-ing’. Maybe you’ve seen the “Ghost” in the windows of your neighbors homes. It’s a fun way to get the kids and the whole neighborhood excited about Halloween.

How do you do it?? You secretly set a Halloween basket of treats (along with a ghost to display in the window and a direction sheet) at your neighbors’ door...then... ring the doorbell and RUN!!

Each house that is Booed does the same for two more neighbors and the fun continues throughout the neighborhood.

Empty Nesters Eating Waffles & Pancakes for Dinner?

Who doesn’t love breakfast any time of day? Well, thanks to Sue and Don Dennis and their wonderful granddaughter Summer, the Empty Nesters filled themselves to the brim with delicious waffles, pancakes, syrup, bacon, and a smorgasbord of breakfast goodies, including Sue’s wonderful hash brown casserole and other assorted items.

The group welcomed two new members, Mark and Theresa Sexton, who recently moved into Reunion.

Co-chairs Jack and Kathy Sposa opened the meeting, and treasurer Sarah McElwee gave a financial update, which showed that the Nesters are under budget for the year and financially healthy!

Ron Scroggins also reminded the group about the upcoming (October 5th) concert and dance on the green space, where we will host The Southern Journey Big Band in front of the Clubhouse! Everyone in Reunion will be welcome. Ron and Nancy, in their matching PJ’s, were also the lucky winners of the night’s door prize…a Cracker Barrel gift card!

REUNION

We hope these friendly reminders from the Covenants Committee will be helpful to residents. Thank you to all for adhering to the Covenant and recognizing that these regulations are necessary to keep our community a visually attractive and safe place to live.

Yard Debris:

It is important to rake up leaves and deposit them appropriately. Do not blow any vegetative matter resulting from lawn maintenance into the street as it ends up in the storm drain.

Vehicles and Parking:

Firewood:

Firewood piles are to be maintained in good order and must generally be located within the sidelines of the house and in the rear yard.

2.

1. Woodpile coverings are allowed only if the cover is an earthy color, and the woodpile is screened from the street view. (For example, a tarp-covered woodpile may be located under a deck with shrubs planted around it.)

Mailboxes:

All mailboxes must be functional with no broken or removed parts and be freshly painted using the approved black color, and the red flag and gold embellishments must also be freshly painted if they show signs of fading. Remember to use the approved mailbox numbers with the correct black paint (satin).

No boat, trailer, camper, recreational, or other vehicle type may be parked or stored in open view on residential property for more than twenty-four hours. No vehicle/golf cart may be parked on any yard. As a rule, parking vehicles on the streets within the community is prohibited. Temporary parking (four hours or less) is allowed if the Owner's driveway is full, not a nuisance to neighbors or an impediment to traffic flow. The vehicle must be parked with traffic. Owners are responsible for guest parking and must ensure that guests park safely and do not impede access to other driveways and traffic. Rules & Regulations

Mailbox & Post should be painted with Black Satin Finish. The flag should be painted in high visible Emergency Red Gloss outdoor paint.

The Reunion Logo/ Medallion must be in a metallic Antique Gold

The mailbox numbers should be 2” gold numbers. Must be on both sides of the mailbox

Trash Cans:

Trashcans must not be in view from the road, your next-door neighbors, or from the golf course.

Pet Reminders:

Please be considerate of your neighbors if your dog is outside and barking after 10 p.m.

Any changes to the exterior of your home and property, require submitting a modification request. If repainting same colors or replacing roof shingles with same style and color, requires submitting a notification form. All these forms can be found at www.fielstonerp.com/reunion/
