DID You KNOW?
Monthly friendly advice for our Reunion neighbors about covenants issues & guidelines
The focus of the Covenants Committee this month will be garbage – no pun intended – with the discussion pertaining to visible trashcans (please refer to Declaration of Protective Covenants section, page 15, Article VI, Section 16). According to that document, “All clotheslines, garbage cans, woodpiles, and other similar items shall be located or screened so as to be concealed from view of neighboring lots, streets, and property located adjacent to the lot…Trash and recycling receptacles shall be placed at the curb no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day before pick up and shall be removed within twenty-four (24) hours. While having trashcans out of view as one drives around Reunion is pleasant, it is understood that containing them to garages can be, at best, smelly and space consuming. Therefore, the Covenants Committee has been told of an approved modification form request that can allow residents to put a closed in fence on a concrete slab at the backside of the house that will hide garbage cans from view. These custom designed trashcan screens will allow for all residents who purchase one to keep unsightly, but necessary, items outdoors. More information will follow, but until such time residents should know that this has been officially approved and those interested can, and should, move forward with the forms for construction approval. If you do not want to add an outdoor housing station, then you must abide by the current regulations surrounding trashcans. There are no exceptions. As well, it is essential that all Reunion residents follow the regulations that require vehicles to be parked in driveways. If a vehicle must be parked on the street, it 1) has to be facing the flow of traffic and 2) must not remain on the street for more than 4 hours and certainly not overnight. It has also been approved that residents can add a parking concrete drive on the side of the house that will extend a little further than the corner of such. A modification form must be submitted for this newly added accommodation that assists with parking congestion on the street. Thank you in advance for adhering to the above regulations – The Covenants Committee The Covenants Committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers who do not make HOA rules, but simply monitor the community to make certain that all who live here follow the regulations that you were made aware of at the time of your purchase. We aim to keep Reunion the pristine neighborhood it is just as other committees strive to oversee the pool, social life, safety, and the Meeting House agendas.
Faith is Our
Cornerstone On a spring day in April, 1985, Eagle Ranch welcomed its first child. The shy teen boy walked through the doors of the Faith Home, unsure of what the future held. He was soon joined by six more boys, who discovered that Faith was more than the name of their new home, but the very thing that would spark hope for a better life. Faith remains the cornerstone of the Eagle Ranch community, which today helps make life better for nearly 70 boys and girls, providing support their families as they work toward reunification.

IN THE KNOWDeveloper Update Happy New Year! Starting in 2018, we will provide updates from the Board of Directors and Developer each month to help keep Reunion residents ‘In the Know’. While printed news is not as timely as we may like, we’ll do our best to keep the posts relevant and informative. The schedule for development is always a question we get. Currently we are developing phases 12 and 13 with 77 lots. The roads are scheduled to pave in mid-January and home construction is expected to begin in April. These will be the same floorplans currently offered for sale in Reunion. There are two final phases left to develop: Phase 9 located behind the driving range and 20 located off Grand Reunion Drive past Townhall Terrace. Both areas are being engineered for single family home sites. More to come as those plans are developed. The development timeline is also a common question. Reunion is zoned for 841 residences including the 15 townhomes. Once phases 9 and 20 are engineered we’ll know the final count but it cannot exceed 841. We currently have about 630 households and expect to complete home construction in Reunion is 2021/22.

Winter HOME Tips Be prepared for winter-related emergencies such as power outages and/or unable to leave the house because of ice or snow. 1. Stock food that needs no cooking or refrigeration, water stored in clean containers and a manual can opener. 2. Ensure that your cell phone is fully charged. 3. Keep an up-to-date emergency kit including: • Battery operated devices such as flashlight, weather radio and lamps • Extra batteries • First aid kit and extra medicine(s) • Infant items (if applicable) • Cat litter or sand for icy walks and driveways.
And the most important, keep in touch with family and neighbors who are especially at risk from cold weather.
