DID You KNOW? Monthly friendly advice for our Reunion neighbors about covenants issues & guidelines
The Covenants’ Committee are friends and neighbors who truly care about the appearance and upkeep of our community to ensure our largest investment is protected. Do you want to protect your investment? If yes, please consider joining us! It is not a huge commitment, however, you can make a huge difference. To join or for more information email ReunionCovenants@gmail.com. Reminder that all garbage cans are to be hidden from the street, neighbors, and golf course. If you need a fence enclosure, contact Pennington Fence and ask for the special Reunion Resident price of $595. Violation cards will be issued and non-compliance can accrue daily fines. In addition, cans are to be put out no earlier than 5pm the day before pick-up and left out no later than that night after pick-up. This includes debris and discarded household items.
We are starting to see a lot of Basketball goals in violation of the rules in our covenants. Please be sure that your goal is perpendicular to the street and not facing it. We have seen several homes with the goal between garages facing the street which is not allowed. Violation cards will be issued and non-compliance can accrue daily fines. We recognize that you value our efforts and energy to keeping Reunion one of the most sought after communities in Hall County. The Covenants Committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers who do not make HOA rules, but simply monitor the community to make certain that all who live here follow the regulations that you were made aware of at the time of your purchase. We aim to keep Reunion the pristine neighborhood it is just as other committees strive to oversee the pool, social life, safety, and the Meeting House agendas.

Empty Nesters
IF YOU PLAY IT... THEY WILL SING The Empty Nester group of Reunion Country Club gathered at the Meeting House on the night of September 19th to partake in one of their more popular activities…Karaoke. Hosted by Joanne & Michael Giel and Judy & Don Smith the event featured a number of not yet famous balladeers take the stage, microphone in hand, to sing as though no one was listening. The evening began with the usual social period when the Empty Nesters mingled and enjoyed conversation. Following that, the group enjoyed a Pot Luck supper buffet that included the usual well prepared dishes contributed by various members of the group.

Many thanks go out to Joanne for allowing the use of her Karaoke machine and for serving as a very capable and organized DJ and coordinator during the activities. The usual hearty thanks go to all the people who contributed food for the event and to those who assisted in setup before the gathering and clean up afterward.
After dessert was served, the fun began....
After dessert was served, the fun began.... Joanne Giel who served as Karaoke coordinator for the night surprised the group with a preplanned but secret group sing by a number of the Empty Nester ladies of “Dancing Queen”. Joanne began the song as a solo and ladies, each wearing their bejeweled tiaras, came up from the audience in groups of three or four to join her in signing. It was a refreshing and enjoyable way to break the ice and get the party off to a good start. There was no shortage of people coming forward to belt out
The Empty Nester group is open to and composed of Reunion residents who meet the sole requirement of no longer having children living at home with them. The group is totally self-sustaining and all Empty Nester functions and events are financed wholly by Empty Nester dues and occasional membership assessments with no supplement or financial assistance coming from HOA dues. Prospective members are invited to come to an event, free of charge, to see if there is an interest in joining. The membership is more than just a party club. Blanton Bagwell Blanton was the creator and founder of the Reunion Blitz competition since 2003. He ran the blitz for 16 years mainly on Tuesday’s on behalf of his many friends and fellow golfers in Reunion. Blanton is relocating, so he is turning over the reins to Mike Reiland and Ted Sawyer to keep the competition alive. To show our expression of thanks and appreciation for his dedication and efforts over the years, the Blitz participants held and attended a Luncheon in his honor at Reunion Hall. Blanton was presented with a plaque which he will proudly display in his new home. Blanton will be missed greatly by his many friends and will always be remembered. Reunion Blitz Participants

Reunion The Reunion Community Care Team exists to support neighbors with short term needs for meals during life’s ups and downs. If you have an illness or injury, new baby, loss, or an unexpected event, please let us know so we can help! There are several amazing cooks in the neighborhood that are ready and willing to help a neighbor in need. We currently need: 1. Volunteers to be area captains, to be a point of contact for the homes around you and coordinate a meal train sign-up as needs arise. 24
2. Volunteers to make and deliver meals to neighbors in need. You will get an email (or a post in our private Facebook group) with a link to the Meal Train sign-up.
