Can IAdmissions Get In? & Financial Aid Scranton’s transfer process is very simple, and we will guide you through each step. We realize that one of the most important factors in your decision is how many of your credits will transfer to Scranton, so we will provide you with a credit evaluation after your application and transcript(s) have been received. Transfer credit is reviewed on an individual basis for courses in which a C or better has been earned. Students transferring are required to complete a minimum of 63 credits at Scranton to earn a baccalaureate degree. Application Requirements • Complete the free online Scranton Application or The Common Application • Official transcripts from all colleges attended, whether or not credit was earned, and a list of courses in progress • Letter of recommendation • Personal statement If fewer than 30 college credits completed, please also send: – Official results of the SAT/ACT/TOEFL – Official high school transcript • Permanent Residents must submit a copy of their current Proof of Residency card •

We offer a variety of programs in recognition of academic achievement, financial need, diversity and ROTC service. State and federal assistance, installment payment plans and work-study can also be part of the mix of financing options. Merit Scholarships Loyola and Arrupe Scholarships are available to qualifying transfer students and range from $8,000 to $17,000 annually. All accepted students are automatically evaluated for scholarships based on the complete Admissions application. Scholarship recipients will be notified in their acceptance letters. Need-Based Financial Aid Students who wish to apply for need-based financial aid should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov by April 15 for the following fall semester. Spring term entries need to update their FAFSA to include The University of Scranton (code 003384) on the college section.
