Donna and Richard Brown P’20 Donna and Richard Brown are honored to be part of The Ursuline Family. Their daughter Alexandria graduated in May. She is currently studying Broadcast Communications at Syracuse University. Their son, Ryan, is a junior at Iona Prep. Donna is Head of Diversity & Inclusion Multicultural Marketing for Johnson & Johnson. She designs strategies to shape market changes and create transformational business and organizational shifts. Donna consults with J & J executives across Consumer, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Devices as they build global/regional expertise and strategies that maximize sales to the multicultural market. She advises business and marketing leaders in the preparation of strategy proposals for developing innovative approaches to connect with multicultural, diverse patients and consumers. Richard is the Vice President of Philanthropy at American Express where he oversees the company’s global giving programs under the Historic Preservation, Leadership Development and Community Service giving themes, which include the Partners in Preservation program with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the

World Monument Fund’s Watch, as well as the global American Express Leadership Academy. Additionally, Richard was a key presenter of the first-ever White House Forum on Nonprofit Leadership and played a leading role in the development of Leaderosity.com, Plusacumen.org and Leaderstories.org -- online leadership development portals for nonprofit professionals. Donna and Richard have been ardent supporters of Ursuline since they first stepped on campus. Donna has introduced Ursuline to speakers with expertise in curriculum and learning styles as well as inclusivity. Donna’s aunt, Dr. Barbara Dezmon, donated to Ursuline a program called Style to Content Learning Preferences Inventory to assist teachers in differentiating instruction for students. Donna has been ever-present at our Admissions events to warmly greet and speak with prospective parents and students. Richard has served on the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees for three years. Together, at the suggestion of their daughter Alex, the Browns endowed the Alexandria Brown ’20 Scholarship to create opportunities for students of color. We are deeply grateful to the Browns and proud to honor them at this event for not just identifying areas of need at Ursuline, but for taking steps to address them.

Donna Edwards ’75 After graduating from The Ursuline School in 1975 and Wellesley College in 1979, Donna Edwards attended University of Virginia School of Law. Currently, Donna is an Administrative Law Judge for the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearings Operations in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2000, The Ursuline School was proud to present the St. Ursula Award to Donna on the occasion of her 25th Reunion. This prestigious award recognizes talented alumnae for outstanding professional success and their commitment to Ursuline’s motto of Serviam - I will serve. Although her professional resume is extensive and impressive, her greatest pride comes from having raised two sensational daughters: Danielle O’Bannon and Dionne O’Bannon Middlebrooks. Donna is an advocate for empowering young women and believes that investing in girls’ education makes an impact. Donna’s parents, Dr. Ione Dunkley Edwards and Theodore U. Edwards, were collectors of fine African American Art. They were also involved in the parent organizations at Ursuline where they had the opportunity to develop friendships with school leadership.

When her beloved parents passed away, Donna felt strongly that they would want a portion of their collection to be gifted to Ursuline. As such, five beautiful pieces from the Edwards’ private collection were installed in the Gabelli Library where they are appreciated by students and faculty every day. Donna’s mother spent her entire career with the New York City Board of Education after receiving degrees from Hunter College and a Doctorate from Columbia University. In 2017, Donna, Danielle and Dionne established the Dr. Ione Dunkley Edwards Scholarship to honor the legacy of their mother and grandmother, and to continue her efforts to promote academic excellence among students of color. We are grateful to Donna and her family for carrying the torch that Dr. Edwards ignited, and for sharing its light with Ursuline.

Catherine Falvey P’75 ’77 ’80 GP’00 ’03 ’17 ’19 Kay Falvey has a long history with the Ursulines, dating back to first grade at Blessed Sacrament Grammar School in New Rochelle. The Ursulines ran the school at a time when the school was staffed only by nuns from the Order. It was during her time there that she first learned the word SERVIAM! Kay graduated from Blessed Sacrament in 1940 and continued her studies at St. Gabriel’s High School. Kay attended the College of New Rochelle, which again, was fully staffed by the Ursuline nuns. After graduating in 1948, Kay returned to Blessed Sacrament Grammar School to teach for four years. Kay married Dick Falvey in 1952. She left the New Rochelle area while Dick was in the Air Force followed by time in Washington, DC where Dick attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry. They returned to New Rochelle with the first five of their thirteen children (ten boys and three girls). All three daughters Cathy ’75, Sharon ’77, and Beth ’78 - attended The Ursuline School for high school, while the boys went to Blessed Sacrament High School and Iona Prep. Kay shared that some of them wanted to go to Ursuline!

On to the next generation! Four Falvey grandchildren - Kellie Falvey Sullivan ’00, Kyle Falvey ’03, Kay Woodtli ’17 and Annie Woodtli ’19 - are all now graduates of The Ursuline School. Kay proudly shares that she has attended many basketball, lacrosse, softball, soccer and field hockey games at Ursuline, and has enjoyed seven Ring Days and Graduations! She is glad to have been a part of them all. To further connect the Falvey family to the Ursulines, Dick’s first cousin, Sister Sheila Campbell OSU, has shared in every phase of their growth. Kay’s volunteer work includes Ursuline’s ESL program and St. Gabriel’s grammar school. “The moral of the story,” Kay explains, “is that we believe in Catholic education.” Few have had an Ursuline legacy as deep and as rich as the Falveys and we are proud to honor their matriarch Kay Falvey at our Evening of Innovation.

Maggie and Mike Hoffman P’14 ’20 Maggie and Mike Hoffman are faithful supporters of Catholic high school education and are honored to be part of the Ursuline Family. Their oldest daughter, Siobhan, is a 2014 graduate of The Ursuline School and their youngest child, Shannon, graduated this year. Their son Michael graduated from Iona Prep. Maggie - an RN, CPN - received her undergraduate degree from Lehman College and her Masters in Nursing Administration from the College of New Rochelle. She is part of Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Montefiore Medical Center where she has worked for the last 31 years. Maggie is a missionary with the Missionaries of the Poor in Kingston, Jamaica. Despite her busy schedule, Maggie always makes time for Ursuline’s Mother Auxiliary events! Mike is the co-founder of the Philanthropy company, Changing Our World (NYSE:OMC), which was the first philanthropic services firm to provide fundraising, management and corporate social engagement strategy to nonprofits and corporations alike. Prior to founding Changing Our World, Mike was Executive Vice President

of external affairs for the Franciscan Health Partnership, Inc., an international healthcare system, and the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Foundation, Inc., an international healthcare foundation. A graduate of West Point, Mike served as a past president of the West Point Society of New York and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Regarding his involvement at The Ursuline School, Mike shares, “I am humbled and honored to have served on the Ursuline Board and as co-chair of the Advancement Committee of the Board for six years.” The honor however was all ours. When the Hoffmans first came to Ursuline, Mike reached out to the Advancement office to offer his assistance. Since that time, he has been an extraordinary mentor and is a significant partner in Ursuline’s fundraising success. For helping the Ursuline mission to soar, we are proud to honor the Hoffmans.

Ann Gillin Lefever ’82 It is difficult to imagine an alumna who embraces the Ursuline motto of Serviam - I will serve - more than Ann Gillin Lefever ’82. Ann lends her financial and strategic expertise to a variety of nonprofit endowments and community organizations, but is particularly generous to her alma maters! Ann has served on The Ursuline School’s Board of Trustees since 2008 and has just completed her final year as Chair. She has chaired the Finance Committee at Ursuline and served on the Cabinet for the Fulfilling the Promise for Generations of Women Campaign. Ann is on the Board of Advisors at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business as well as a member of the board of advisors for Georgetown’s Wall Street Alliance. One might say that Ann’s connection to the Ursuline Sisters was genetic. Ann’s mother, Patricia Ahearn Gillin, is a graduate of the Academy of Mount St. Ursula and The College of New Rochelle. Pat Gillin was a firm believer in Ursuline education so it was only natural that her three daughters - Ann ’82, Mary Pat ’83 (Simunovich) and Beth ’85 (Agarabi) - would attend The Ursuline School. All three daughters excelled as students and have been

engaged and supportive alumnae. Pat’s husband, Robert “Bob” Gillin, was also an advocate of the school and served as an active member and leader of the Fathers’ Club during the 1980s. Whether volunteering at Sts. John and Paul Parish, Chatsworth School, Fordham Prep Mothers’ Club or the Salesian Foundation, Ann makes an impact. Before taking time off to raise her children, Emma, Will and Katie, Ann enjoyed a successful career in banking, most recently as a Managing Director and member of the management team in the Equities Division at Barclays Capital. Prior to that, Ann served in leadership positions at Lehman Brothers and Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Ann earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School Business. She was recognized with the St. Ursula Award at Reunion in 1997 for career achievement. Ann is very grateful to the Ursuline Sisters for their leadership and the mission of Serviam on behalf of Catholic education. Anyone who knows Ann will agree that she was a quick study. For living the Ursuline mission every day, it is our honor to recognize Ann Gillin Lefever ’82.

Nina Iannotti Maguire ’51 P’85 GP ’17 ’20 “Experiencing a painting by Nina Maguire is like catching the scent of a once-familiar perfume, evoking memory, filling the viewer with a sense of nostalgia, of a time and place lost but not forgotten.” After her graduation from Ursuline, Nina Iannotti Maguire ’51 earned a masters degree with a major in fine art from the College of New Rochelle. She didn’t seriously pursue an art career until 20 years later. Instead, she married Arthur Maguire shortly after her college graduation and together they raised their four children. When the time came to focus on her career as an artist, Nina received tremendous support from her husband and children. Her distinguished career has been highlighted by extensive exhibitions, numerous juried memberships and a host of awards including Gold Medals from American Artists Professional League, The National Society of Painters in Casein & Acrylic, Catharine Lorrilard Wolfe Art Club and Audubon Artists. Nina has been represented by Cavalier Galleries New York City, Greenwich and Nantucket since 1999. The Ursuline School has always been an institution that Nina

strongly supported. Before Ursuline even had an Office of Advancement, Nina was sending Annual Fund gifts to school leadership. She is, and always has been, ahead of the curve! In addition to her many years of Annual Fund support, in 2015, Nina endowed a scholarship at the school to recognize and encourage leadership in the young women of Ursuline. The Nina Iannotti Maguire ’51 Scholarship is awarded to students who exhibit strong character, courage, initiative and wisdom. One of Nina’s greatest joys has been experiencing Ursuline as a mother to daughter Regina Maguire Moynihan ’85 and as a grandmother to Caitlin Moynihan ‘17 and Teagan Moynihan ’20. She describes the wonderful balance of past and present Ursuline as this, “Ursuline offers so much today, but at its core is very much the same as it has always been.” We are so grateful to Nina for her many years of support and are delighted to recognize her for the leadership she has always demonstrated. We are honored that she has donated one of her paintings “Study for NYC Celebration, July 4, 2019” as an auction item for An Evening of Innovation!

Mary Caryl and Paul McEvoy P’06 Catholic education has been a major focus of MC and Paul’s philanthropic activity. The McEvoy family has been a longstanding supporter and beneficiary of Ursuline education for three generations, and counting! Their daughter, Carolyn McEvoy Galligan ‘06, celebrates her Ursuline education through her own efforts in support of the school. Most notably, Carolyn’s work on the CROWDS4TUS event significantly elevated participation among millennial alumnae.Their son, Paul C., graduated from Iona Prep, continuing another three-generation connection. MC has been a leader in advancement at her schools in St. Joseph, Michigan: Lake Michigan Elementary and Catholic High Schools. This includes the creation of a technology fund honoring her mother, Caryl, for a chrome book program for both schools. When referring to the McEvoys, Nadia Bucholtz, Director of Advancement at LMC says, “they are the most amazing stewards of the Lake Catholic mission.” Along with Paul, she was also a founding board member of the MAC Angels Foundation, an organization that supports families

affected by ALS in the Metropolitan area. In 2017, the McEvoys were honored at a Gala by MAC Angels in recognition of their deep commitment to the organization. Paul recently concluded a career in banking, finance, and investment management. Most recently, he was a Partner at DRA Advisors, a real estate investment firm based in NYC. Paul served on the Iona Prep board for 10 years and initiated the Margotta Scholarship Fund in honor of one of his coaches. He has also been recognized for his support of The Inner-City Scholarship Fund. The Paul and Mary McEvoy Scholarship is just one more way that the family supports Ursuline. Recognizing that rising tuition costs make it difficult for many to attend, they established the scholarship in 2016 to assist students who would thrive at Ursuline given the chance. MC and Paul join the CROWD every year and encourage others to do so by underwriting challenges to promote participation in our day of giving. In August 2019, the McEvoys made a leadership pledge to the Innovation Campaign which provided a significant boost at a critical time. We are indeed fortunate that the McEvoys count The Ursuline School among their philanthropic priorities and are delighted to honor them at this special event.

Carol and Felix Petrillo P’93 GP’21 ’24 In 2002, Felix Industries constructed the Mooney Hancock Arts Center at Ursuline. Felix Petrillo P’93, GP’21 ’24, the President and CEO of the company at the time, remarked, “It is like putting an addition on my home.” The Ursuline School has been another home to the Petrillo family since the late 1980s when their only daughter, Maria Elena Petrillo Corcoran ’93 (ReRe), began at the school. And Ursuline is so much better for it! In addition to their many leadership donations and pledges over the years, Carol and Felix Petrillo have given countless hours to Ursuline. Carol served as President of the Mothers’ Auxiliary from 1990 - 1992, and later as a member of the Board of Trustees from 1994 - 2000. During her Board tenure, Carol was on the Steering Committee for the Arts Building Campaign. Additionally, Carol has continued to support the annual Fashion Show as a former Mothers’ Auxiliary President. The Petrillos have been honored by other local organizations where their support has been game-changing such as Iona Preparatory School, Sound Shore Medical Center and Cancer Support Team.

Carol and Felix Petrillo are long-time parishioners of St. Pius X Church in Scarsdale where Carol served as a President of the Parish Council. The family’s energy is infectious - they make everything more fun! Having enjoyed their time at Ursuline when ReRe ’93 was a student here, Carol and Felix are delighted to be back at the school, this time as grandparents to Caroline ’21 and Anna ’24! For their commitment to The Ursuline School and for being wonderful examples of the Ursuline motto of Serviam - I will serve, we are proud to recognize Carol and Felix Petrillo as honorees at our Campaign dinner, An Evening of Innovation.

Rosemary Vrablic ’78 Rosemary graduated from Fordham University in 1982 before entering the business world where she has enjoyed a successful career as a private banker for over thirty years. Although a proud graduate of Fordham University, Rosemary is quick to share that her greatest loyalty lies with Ursuline, where she met her life-long friends from the Class of 1978 who truly are more like sisters. She is also happy to let you know that “they” were Sr. Jean Baptiste’s first class! Rosemary is proud of the legacy of her tight-knit Ursuline group who among them have had seven daughters and countless nieces attend Ursuline! Rosemary believes strongly in the value of Ursuline education. So much so that in 2005, she established a scholarship in honor and in memory of her parents. The Bernice and Joseph Vrablic Scholarship continues to be one of Ursuline’s most prestigious named scholarships and has provided significant tuition assistance for eight students since its inception. Beginning with the first CROWDS4TUS in 2015, Rosemary’s support has helped make our annual day of giving a financial success. She has also inspired Ursuline students by sharing her professional experience and offering great practical advice as part of Ursuline’s Distinguished

Speaker Series for which she has since earned the naming rights. Rosemary was recognized with the St. Angela Award at her 30th Reunion for her devotion to the school. An early supporter of the Innovation Campaign, Rosemary not only contributed at a leadership level, but also provided insights, feedback and ideas that helped conceptualize the project and refine the case for support to share with other donors. In short, whenever there is a need at Ursuline, Rosemary responds. We are inspired by her generosity. It is with hearts full of gratitude that we recognize Rosemary for her commitment to the Ursuline sisterhood!
