Standing strong with our Lake Country People! All of us with The Vining Group hope you receive this message safe and well. March surprised us with some major changes to our daily life -at least, in the short term, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The need to follow social distancing guidelines has caused many closings, delays and cancellations. Residential and Commercial Real Estate Services, as well as settlement services, are included as part of the critical infrastructure workforce. This means Realtors, Appraisers, Lenders, Closing Attorneys, Home Inspectors, and others, are continuing to perform our jobs to sell real estate and close transactions. The Vining Group is continuing our work from home every day and being careful to take the necessary precautions when meeting with Sellers and showing property to Buyers. We are rising to these challenges and making needed adjustments to stay safe and productive in new ways, many of which will continue for us even once we’ve returned to a more normalized business environment. After 17 years in the business, this is not the first storm we have weathered, and we’re prepared to come out of this stronger than we were before! Because we are coming into our prime selling season, our business hasn’t slowed as much as many. We felt a temporary dip when the stock market drastically fell in March; but the pandemic itself has yet to have the negative effects we initially thought. Buyers are still continuing to search property from their home, and we are helping them learn about the properties in more virtual ways, i.e.
FaceTime showings and more “walk-through” type videos. Overall, we are adapting and retooling our marketing efforts and business practices to operate on a more virtual platform. When looking back on 2019, The Vining Group is so grateful to our Clients for the strong year we had in real estate! So many of you referred us to your family and friends, as well as returning to do business with us once again. We closed out the year with over $32 million in sales. So, let us say a heartfelt, “Thank you” for your support in helping us to remain Lake Oconee’s #1 Team in Real Estate! As you look through this edition of our newsletter, you’ll see some really positive data from 2019: Average sales prices for lakefront and golf course homes increased, List to Sales Price Averages increased, and Days on Market decreased. 2019 was the best year we’ve had since 2008. We will continue our efforts in 2020 as we make our way through this uncharted territory, we are all in. We truly are all in this together and we will, no doubt, make it through together. Our Team is here for you, whether it’s concerning real estate or not.
