Scam

A Voice reader reports that he was the target of a scam recently. A caller claiming to be with Publisher’s Clearinghouse said he had won $2.5 million and a 2016 BMW. All he had to do was send $850 to pay taxes and his prizes would be delivered at 2 p.m. that day. He did not send any money, and of course no prizes were delivered. Don’t be a victim of a scam. Publishers Clearinghouse does not call winners and ask for money. If you receive a scam phone call, contact the state Attorney General’s office.

According to the CWD management zone regulations, only cleaned, deboned meat and taxidermy products from deer taken within the CWD zone may be taken outside the zone.

Angus cross cattle. The McMahans own 104 acres and rent another 162. They have been ranching for 15 years. The McMahans are members of the Van Buren County Cattleman’s Association, the state association and the national Cattleman’s Association. The girls already are members of the American Junior Shorthorn Association, and will join 4H as soon as they are old enough. The Farm Family of the Year culminates in December with the selection of the state winners who then go on to regional competition.
