In a programme of highlights from the violin and piano, their repertoire will include Beethoven’s timeless Spring Sonata alongside violin favourites such as Monti’s firecracker Csárdás and Massenet’s magical 'Méditation' from Thaïs. Yuka Eguchi has been Assistant Concertmaster of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra since 2015 and was a prize winner in leading international violin competitions including the prestigious Paganini Competition. Kemp English has an extensive discography with critically acclaimed recordings released under the Decca, Naxos and Ode labels. Renowned as a specialist fortepiano exponent and organist, Kemp is a regular soloist throughout New Zealand. 10 August, Ensemble Go with New Zealand String Quartet’s violinist, Monique Lapins and Japanese percussionist, Naoto Segawa. 4 September, The Rebirth of the Cool with Ralph

Miller Nonet. Led by trumpeter Ralph Miller, a nine-piece ensemble will recreate the music by Miles Davis and legendary musicians of the Bebop era. 11 October, Duo Enharmonics formed by Nicole Chao and Beth Chen described as “exhilarating piano duettists”. 20 November, Tokowha will present a sparkling programme of arias from classic opera, operetta and music theatre alongside beautiful waiata and pese.
