his quilt was produced as a joint venture by local Wanaka quilters with sponsorship from Christofer Robyn Quilts and Print It. Most of the work of putting the quilt together and quilting it was done over two frantic days of stitching in the National Bank where everyone was welcome to watch the process and buy raffle tickets.
Proceeds from the raffle go to the Neurosurgery Appeal to establish a Chair of Neurosurgery at the University of Otago thereby ensuring that neurosurgery facilities will be available permanently in this region. The quilt is currently on display in the foyer of the Wanaka Community Health Centre where tickets are available. They are also being sold at a number of retail outlets in town and in the library until the end of the month.
