Aspiring Gymsports Gymnastic Club are presenting our end of year display on Sunday December 2nd from 3.00-4.30pm at the Wanaka Recreation Centre, Court one. Come along, join the fun and be inspired! All members of the public are invited and admission is $5 per family, payable at the door. On display will be gymnasts representing nearly all of our classes: boys, girls, youth, teens and masters, from recreational, rhythmic, Cheersports, regional and national competitive, alongside aerials, acrobatics and tumbling. There will be another opportunity to see our Cheersports team and a small group of gymnasts

performing in the Wandering Circus next Wednesday at 4.30pm at the Lake Wanaka Centre. The Cheersports team will also be performing at the Hawea School Fair. Our club continues to see fantastic growth and we are proud to employ 12 part time coaches, with an extra three volunteering, all of whom have undergone or are in coach education programmes with Gymnastics NZ. This is quite some task as our rental and operating costs are funded entirely through our term fees. We are very grateful to our sponsors and funders who assist us in covering equipment costs. Coordinated by non-profit organisation Breast Cancer Cure (BCC), the event – held at the Corbridge Woolshed on Wednesday, November 28 – will showcase the latest collections from New Zealand’s top fashion designers to raise money for breast cancer research.
