The Watermill Antiques Fair 10am to 3pm

The Friends of The Watermill welcome a selection of antique and vintage stalls. Browse and buy a variety of beautiful items including antique jewellery, collectables, clothing, glassware, china and textiles. Light lunches, cakes, coffee and tea will be served in the bar. Entry £3

Friday 10 November

The Watermill Christmas Fair 9.30am to 2.30pm

The annual Watermill Christmas Fair will offer an exciting array of beautiful gift stalls. Enjoy browsing and buying presents to delight your loved ones along with festive decorations to bring that magical sparkle to your home. Light lunches, mulled wine and coffee will be on sale. Entry £3.50

Friday 22 September

Elizabeth is the former Artistic Director of Pentabus Theatre Company and is now a freelance Theatre Director working in the UK and USA. She trained at the National Theatre Studio and Rose Bruford College from where she has a First Class BA Hons in Directing (First Class). Her recent bold and innovative production of The Rape of Lucrece for the RSC was described as ‘a triumph’ by The Times and continues to tour internationally. The bar opens at 11.30am and the talks commence at 12 noon for these events. A one course lunch and coffee is served at approximately 1pm. Price: £17.50

A Day in the Haseleys

Visit to Rooksnest

Lunchtime Talk

Meet at 10.15am in the car park of Haseley Court Gardens, in the village of Little Haseley, Oxfordshire. Postcode for sat navs is OX44 7LL. The day will begin with a private tour of Haseley Court Gardens arranged by kind permission of the present owners. This stylish 10 acre garden with topiary chess set, hornbeam tunnels and nut walks was created by the designer Nancy Lancaster over a period of 30 years from the early fifties and is continued today by the current owners. After a short drive to the neighbouring village of Great Haseley, lunch will be at The Plough, a community pub owned by the village. After lunch there will be a tour of the village guided by the local History Archive Group. Great Haseley is mentioned in the Domesday Book and includes a historic church with links to Windsor Castle, 17th century houses and the beautiful Grade II listed Old Rectory. Directions, maps and timings are available from the Box Office when booking. There is wheelchair accessibility. Price: £25 including lunch.

Supper Clubs Rageh Omaar

Rageh Omaar is a Somalian born British journalist who is now ITV’s International Affairs Editor and responsible for covering major news stories across the world. He is also the presenter of ITV’s current affairs programme On Assignment. Previously he was Senior Foreign Correspondent for the BBC where he covered the second Gulf War from Baghdad before leaving to report and present for Al Jazeera. The bar opens at 6.30pm, supper is served at 7.30pm and the talk begins at approximately 8.30pm. If you have any special dietary requirements please call the Box Office. Supper Clubs are unreserved seating. Price: £21

Rooksnest Garden, Lambourn Woodlands

Meet at Rooksnest Gardens for 2pm. Postcode for sat navs is RG17 7SB. Friends of The Watermill have been invited to a private viewing by kind permission of Dame Theresa Sackler with a guided walk by the head gardener. The formal gardens adjacent to the house were principally designed by Lady Arabella Lennox-Boyd and are managed using organic principles and consist of ten acres of traditional English gardens including rose gardens, a herbaceous garden, a pond garden and a herb garden together with vegetables and glasshouses. There are also many specimen trees and fine shrubs, orchard and terraces. Directions and a map are available from the box office when booking. Wheelchair access available. Price: £17.50 including homemade cakes and tea and coffee.

Lady Carnarvon - Medieval Abbey to Downton Abbey At Home at Highclere

A Little Night Music Multiple musical instruments, dance routines and classic songs, Paul Foster will talk about the elements involved in directing Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s A Little Night Music for The Watermill this summer. Paul’s previous productions at The Watermill include Laurel and Hardy in 2013 and Tell Me on a Sunday with Jodie Prenger which toured the UK following its sold out debut at The Watermill. The bar opens at 11.30am and the talks commence at 12 noon for these events. A one course lunch and coffee is served at approximately 1pm. Price: £17.50

It is a beautiful coffee table book sharing photographs from the archives and interiors past and present.

A passionate believer in encouraging her customers to feel confident from within, her aim is to help bring out inner beauty by sculpting women’s bodies into the perfect bra, helping them to feel comfortable and reflecting their true natural beauty. Angela has carefully selected designer lingerie, bridal underwear and swimwear collections that structure and sculpt the female form to perfection.
