Lacy and Chad met “where dreams come true” while both were doing golf internships at Walt Disney World. Three years later, they wed at a championship golf course, surrounded by snow-capped mountains on beautiful Lake Tahoe. Most of the wedding vendors were flown in from Longview. “It was easier to plan a destination wedding with people we knew and trusted, and it made our wedding more personal and fun.”

“The Stitch” Louisiana Tech English Class 2010 - Natalie Gunn sits behind Mark Threlkeld. They meet, study together and fall in love. Mark is drafted by the Kansas City Royals and Natalie transfers to the University of North Texas. Fast forward to June 2012. Natalie visits Mark in Arizona, and Mark has a plan. He wants to propose, but does not have a ring. He turns to what he knows best... baseball. Carefully removing “The Stitch” from a baseball, he crafts a ring and ties it around Natalie’s finger when she says, “Yes.” He vows to wear a matching “Stitch” to represent their promise to each other. Mark gives Natalie a beautiful diamond ring when he returns home for the off season in September. Neither removed the stitch since he proposed to her on June 9, 2012. When Natalie and Mark said their vows before God and their cherished guests, they removed “The Stitch” and replaced them with the symbol of their eternal love, the wedding band.

The most romantic day of the year is nearly upon us. A time to show your love to the ones near and dear to you.

It is a very special day in our household because thirty years ago, my husband and I had our first date on Valentine’s Day. Now, almost twenty eight years, three daughters, numerous cats, hamsters, and a few dogs later…well, you get the point. We’ve enjoyed many years of wedded bliss, but it all began on that first Valentine’s Day date. Many a newlywed can trace their first meeting back to that same day. Some couples even set their wedding date on this traditional day of love. Even if Valentine’s Day didn’t factor into your courtship, you can make this day very special and create memories of a lifetime. Whether you spend it lavishing someone with gifts, preparing for that one of a kind proposal, or just reminding those around you how much they are loved, Valentine’s Day is indeed a sweet time of the year. Not sure where to begin? The answer is chocolate. Warm, ooey gooey chocolate. That’s romantic, right? What better way to end a romantic evening! If you plan on going out to celebrate, skip the dessert and come home, get comfy, put the kids to bed (if applicable) and enjoy a great end to a great day…just the two of you. This dessert literally takes less time to prepare than it does for the oven to preheat and it bakes almost as fast, so quick and easy! All you’ll need (that’s probably not already in your pantry) is some bittersweet chocolate. Grab a bar or two ahead of time, even bittersweet chocolate chips will work, and you’ll be all set to go. These can be prepped a day or so ahead of time and kept in the fridge until ready to bake! Win!

Bodacious bows are a great way to set yourself apart from the more traditional hair pieces. Extra long, lacey ribbons wrapped around a mess of romantic touseled curls is an irresistible alternative to the bride who still wants to wear her hair ‘down’. Keep in mind, this is an uncoiffed look. No stiff boxy bows or helmet hair with this trend.

2. Sleeves The strapless gown trend is definitely on its way out and is being replaced with a variety of sleeve options. From a classic cap sleeve to a full length look, “à la” Princess Kate, the options here are crazy fun! With wedding dress designers such as Monique Lhuillier & Carolina Herrerra showing so much love for the sleeve during their Spring 2014 Runways, it’s clear the sleeve is too versatile to pass up.
4. Big Bling. Major. Huge. I’ve noticed more brides opting out of tiaras and hair combs and instead going for what I call the ‘Vintage Broach Approach’. This look features soft curls paired with one large rhinestone hair piece that’s reminiscent of the 1920’s & 30’s. This simple classic is an easy win.

Over the years, they've been part of many, many weddings. Another aspect of Classic Coach & Carriage includes a bus service from their fleet. Using a bus service for the wedding party, elderly family members and out of town guests can help make the entire wedding event go smoothly. It can also ensure safe transport for guests if there is alcohol served at the rehearsal dinner or reception.
Louise and Wayne really do build relationships with customers. They met a couple in Van, Texas who had four daughters. Classic Coach & Carriage have provided car service at each girl's prom through the years and at two of their weddings. They realize they are carrying irreplaceable cargo and do everything they can to treat every client like a VIP.
