Theme and Details: Soft Pastels

With a venue like this, a garden party seemed likethe best fitting theme: classic, yet dreamy andromantic. Only little subtle decorative elementswere added while keeping things simple, such asmismatched dresses for the bridesmaids but inthe same shade, and a vintage car for the coupleto drive away in. Completing the look was thebride herself, looking absolutely magical withher regal headpiece and dramatic veil, pairedwith her delicate lace bridal gown and gorgeousbridal bouquet.

“I’m not a huge fan of having things superorderly and perfect. I wanted a fresh gardenlook with loose giant flowers, soft pastel colours, and little bright blue flowers,” said Mariana.

Venue: Fattoria di Cinciano, Tuscany

Mariana: “It was the first (and only) venue wesaw, and we instantly fell in love with it. Thevenue has such amazing views and beautifultrees that I wanted to mimic its nature.”

The Italian countryside has got to be some ofMother Nature’s best work, and Tuscany thejewel in the crown. From the rolling hills to thetextured walls, narrow alleyways and cobbledstreets, these are the views that have inspiredcenturies of painters and the artists to come.More than the view, Fattoria di Cinciano is alsoa vineyard, which meant the guests imbibedon the vineyard’s own Chianti and Pinot Grigioall night, while seated at long picnic tablesunderneath a massive sprawling tree.

My favourite part was the surprise on everyone’s face when the tenor appeared and started singing from the balcony, and then to the cutting of the cake, which was made fresh in front of everyone. And finally, all the dancing!

Reception

As the happy couple celebrated their union with 200 of their guests, they also got to watch the sun set from their soirée, as the summer sun only goes down around 10pm. It was magical to witness the change of light over dinner.

“Lighting is one of the most important parts in setting the atmosphere! I had my husband’s amazing groomsmen help me put up 40 glass balls with lights on the trees. It was so beautiful because you’d hardly notice them during the day but as the sun set, they intensified,” shared Mariana.

With speeches from their loved ones, a tenor serenading the couple from the balcony, and the cutting of the cake which was freshly made in front of everyone, the perfect night was topped off with dancing, and so much joy and laughter.
