The grand opening of the new Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau Headquarters & Museum Complex will include the inaugural performance of the larger-than-life, 9-foot-tall animatronic characters. The action comes to life as the figures come out on the clock tower’s platform to enact a typical frontier drama. As the story goes, the main would-be train robber, Willy Majors, who is down on his luck, is confronted by a younger would-be robber, Nat Barrett. Both men are desperately looking to solve their financial woes and start a new life by absconding with a $60,000 cash box on the train arriving today at the Grapevine Depot. See what happens as these men learn that “crime doesn’t pay” at Main Street Days 2012.

The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau new headquarters and museum complex is a symbol of welcome and friendship. The new facility represents the architectural period of significance from the 1870s through 1915 and is a tribute to those industries that led to the growth and development of Grapevine during that time. The complex rises above Main Street at the southern end of Historic Downtown Grapevine and consists of six distinct storefronts, each representative of a significant period in Grapevine’s history.
