Category Questions Management Role Carol started her career with an Irish stockbroking firm and soon moved to one of Ireland's leading banks, AIB where she worked in securities services. Her career progressed through the merged entity AIB BNY and later to BNY Mellon. During her career she has worked in Dublin, Guernsey, Brussels and New York developing lasting and profitable relationships with global franchise clients based on a track record of integrity, problem-solving and first class service delivery. She has led staff in many countries. Carol has a very senior and multi-faceted executive role with global responsibility for Client Service for hedge funds, prime custody and administration. She is CEO of BNY Mellon Fund Services Ireland Limited with responsibility for all activities by this Irish entity. Carol reports directly to CEO of Alternative Investment Services (based in New York) and is a key member of the Executive Committee. She is also a Board member of 3 legal entities: Managing Director (CEO) BNY Mellon Fund Services Ireland Ltd, Director BNY Mellon Investment Services Ireland Ltd and Member of Board of Management BNY Mellon (Poland) SP Zoo. As CEO BNY Mellon Fund Services Ireland Ltd Carol has full responsibility for all activities (Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Alternative Investments, Transfer Agency, ETF and Private Equity) in Ireland. She is the key contact for the Irish regulator. She also has executive responsibility for the global client calling programme. Vision and Leadership Carol Andrews is an energetic, perceptive and motivational leader with excellent communication skills. With 25 years’ experience, she has built a formidable reputation for leadership, client service excellence, change and crisis management and operating effectively in a highly complex global business. Carol has played a key leadership role in major acquisitions, mergers and resulting integrations; demonstrated the ability to manage and lead through periods of significant change and growth; developed workable solutions to accommodate regulatory change and oversee effective crisis management; and built high-performance teams by identifying and nurturing talent. Her technical expertise and 'lead by example' approach aligned with her ability to take a strategic view has stood her and her organisation in good stead - particularly in crisis situations. Carol has also played a leading role in developing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a central tenet of BNY Mellon's mission and has brought drive and commitment to her own leadership of a number of other organisations, including the 30% Club Ireland Chapter which she founded and leads. She is responsible for the implementation of BNY Mellon's global operating model for Prime custody client service and for all onboarding and client conversions globally for hedge funds. She is a leading member of a large number of key internal committees including BNY Mellon's Global Risk and Compliance Committee and the EMEA Risk Committee. Community Service Carol is committed to improving gender balance and inclusion in business leadership. She is the Founder of the 30% Club Ireland Chapter and its current Country Leader, having brought together a small number of leading Irish business leaders in 2014. From this, with Carol's active leadership, the 30% Club has grown to have some 190 supporters in Ireland, CEO's and Chairs of Ireland's leading businesses, representing Irish and global organisations, across many sectors in both the private and public sectors. Carol founded BNY Mellon's CSR progamme in Ireland and is a leading member of BNY's Corporate and Social Responsibility Committee.
