1913 BERLIN YUIJA ZHAI-PETROW

WEDNESDAY • 10 30 AM @ STUDIO - Yuija Zhai-Petrow presented her S/S Collection 2013. Within three run-throughs blue, beiges and light brown toned chasmere clothes, were worn by the models.By the first sight the collection doesn‘t look that special or interessting, but by the end - having a complete overview about her whole work - I must confess, that I really liked her work, because of the different use of cashmere. Very sophisticated-designed pattern, with a great graphical aspect gave it the rough and significant touch. My favourite piece was the blue skirt. Many designers played with asymetric cuts the last season - so did Zhai Petrow, but bit more extreme. The blue skirt was quite long in the front, but even more in the back - looks like a modern train, but very light and floating. In addition to those lovely womenwear, the men aren‘t coming off badly. I really liked those see-through oversized chasmere pullovers or cardigans Zhai-Petrow designed for the men. Summing up it can be said, that 1913 Berlin is a labels, which pushes chasmere fashion forward season by season. The whole collection is wearable for everyday - which makes it even more perfect. Great work Miss Yuija Zhai-Petrow.

WEDNESDAY • 3 00 PM @ RUNWAY: Floating colourful fabrics encasing the models of the DIMITRI FAHION SHOW. Deep red, light mint green, white and brown tones hoverd across the runway. Eyecatching highlight on those very classic cutted dresses - the braided shoulder accesoires. We loved the light mint green especially for its ease mood in spring. Some leather skirts are giving the whole very light collection a rough touch aswell. Moreover the cutouts on adding some sexiness to those dresses. The accessoires had a touch of some old egyptian jewellery. Extra-plus: the whole collection is wearable for different events, even for non-fashionable women. Thanks DIMITRI for the show.

WEDNESDAY • 5 30 PM SOPOPULAR is one of my fav was completly out of mind, wh show at the studio. So, the sho colours for S/S - not those bri of blue and grey. My favourite p - I truley need to buy that for t the Grazia Preview Show befo on the use of pattern ind grap say it, with the words of the lab next season in

M @ STUDIO: As I told you before, vourite upcoming labels at the moment. I when we were invited joining them for the how exceeded all my expectations. great right colours, but awesome dark shades pieces were the shirt you can see below the next season and a shirt - we saw at fore, which has a great look, depending phical shades on the chest. Finally I can bel: It‘s tough to be SoPopular - See you in my closet - hopefully.

PREMIUM EXHIBITIONS. During our time in Berlin we needed to stop at the PREMIUM. It was hard to find a place in ou schedule, but we had some timeframes we could use strolling around those big halls and finding new inspirations by the designs of the different stands. I was falling in love with the hall I‘ve pictured here for you, because of this sophisticated white and silver style it has. Moreover we found some great new labels for mens aswells - I am going to tell you about later in time. Now I am at home again I am dreaming about opening my own shop here in hamburg and selling those great clothes we just saw there.Maybe this little stupid dream might come true.

THURSDAY • 3 PM @ RUNWAY: Marcel Ostertag is opening his own Female Fashion Show in a dark red dress, it goes without saying that he walked better in heels than some girls could. THE GIRL WITH THE ROSE was the name of his new collections. He represents the name within the show by changing colours and cuts from long and red the collection starts turning out more rough and sharp into black and white, bit of beige. In case of the name the models wore some flower headpieces. We saw some great graphical black and white pattern and some great shapes of skirts. the collection looks quite light and wearble to strong and female aswell. Great work Mister Ostertag, from now own he is my favourite male german designer - Rock on in your heels. footnote: he closed his show in a black dress and heels aswell!

THURSDAY • 10 PM @ RUNWAY: Sara Nuru is opening the runway show of the romanian designer IRINA SCHROTTER. From that second on we we‘re introduced to a very white and beiges collection with great shapes and an unbelievable ease. in contrast to that, the models wore some heavylooking wood accesoires. to highlight some clothes Irina used a dark orange aswell, which completly succeded as a highlight - they were giving a completly new touch within her whole work. We liked her coices of models aswell, the fitt perfect for the mood of the collection. another eyey-catching highlight were some cutouts she used within a few dressses. Irina Schrotter was one of the best shows this season, because of it‘s simplicity, but haute-couture touc she absolutely convince me with her work. Well Done! We are expecting just the best in future.

FRIDAY • 10 AM @ RUNWAY: That ANJA GOCKEL isn‘t the best female designer I heared before via DandyDiary. But now I had the chance of seeing it for myself. Starting her show with cockcrow - how creative I know - the drama takes its course. I wasn‘t that bad, but summing up the clothes looked a bit like a new collection from C&A or so. She used three different prints in her collections. The first one wasn‘t that uninteresting at all - reminds me a bit of a rainbow or eighties come-back - but when we discovered a lipstick print on the clothes we can‘t take it serious anymore. Despite from using her own logo that often on her dresses, which makes it look like a thirteen year old girl, going shopping alone for the very first time. All in all It can be said that the first print wasn‘t that bad - wearbale and quite nice - the rest of the show was like a Katy Perry Concert - full of useless stuff.

FRIDAY • 10 30 AM @ STUDIO: MARC PHILIPPE COUDEYRE a Designer I‘ve never heard off before - but will remember from now on of course - introduced us to his PARADISE LOST Collection. The name delivered what it promised - the colours the shapes and the models-themselves - everything reminds to paradise - but somehow it look smore rough, even he used light fabrics - but it all looks so bad for any reasons I can‘t figure out. Despire from this feeling I picked out my favourite piece very fast: it was a short jumpsuite with a hood and a palm print. it has that magical look of a paradise but the shape of the hood reminds me a bit of a warrior. Futhermore I really liked the dark red tone he used for a nice shaped dress asweell. Great collection - with a great feeling!

FRIDAY • 1 PM @ RUNWAY: HANNES KETTRITZ was first male runway show we‘ve visited during fashion w and it totally goes along with my vision of great meansw - simple shapes and colours - but great highlights collars, oversized items or for the brave ones a coat a transparent back - presented without any underwea course - for the ladies - or gay men. My favourite piec the collection you see right next to this article on the the turquoise coat with short arms and a light oversized - I really loved the combination with some shorts ad a s I must confess that I‘ve never heard about Kettritz fore, but now I really want to have some of his g fashion pieces.

AY • 3 PM @ RUNWAY: STEVEN TAI the designer who e this awesome dress with spinning nibs presented the rest collection with starting with even this famous dress first. al for TAI the models wore some nerd-glasses. Even his book model on his minimalistic website wore this and some es. His collection was very avantgardistic - very sharp cuts stacked fabrics on shirts or trousers we the leading part of ollections. white, beiges and light blue were the colours TAI . His collection isn‘t wearable but he is genius when it come rough shapes and cutting ideas. We want to see more.

FRIDAY • 8 PM @ RUNWAY: Beautiful dresses floa ross the runway on even more beautiful models - ev was just so beautiful - it was FRIDA WEYER. No can‘t stand just beautiful, but this time the dress so perfect and so light I really enjoyed the show. used transparent fabrics to break the beautiful an great print. which reminds me of leaves. great pa nes she used but also black white and grey. I really dresses with a white skirt, everythings floating an so easy and light. Weyer also used some awesom ge floral prints - kinda oriantal touch. By the end I I never saw that many beautiful dresses - really c dresses before.

ating acverything ormally I ses were WEYER nd some astel toy like the nd looks me orancan say, classical

SATURDAY • 10 AM @ RUNWAY: I was completly out of mind, IRENE LUFT my absolut favourite show this season. Stunning dresses in pastel tones, with flowers, silk and laces. It was so dreamy, and so rough at the same time. Her fashion reminds me a bit of the romantic McQueen big words I know - but what else could I say. See those awesome pictures of the collection to get a picture of what I mean. Loving the tulle dress occupied with flowers and laces. Great work Miss Luft - you are my favourite female Designer from now on - Can‘t wait for more lovely dresses, which hopefully blow my mind aswell.
