The York Beltline Trail is a gem so well hidden in northern Toronto that even some people who live near it don’t
know about it. But, the Friends of the York Beltline and Eglinton-Lawrence Councillor Josh Colle hope to change that in 2016. Colle, who spearheaded the Friends group several years ago
to improve community awareness of the trail and to work on improvements, said a number of initiatives will take place this year to improve the green trail and to draw people to it. >>>trail, page 6
Ujima House hosts parenting group for dads with young kids Ujima House, 1901 Weston Rd., Unit 18, hosts a free parenting program called ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ for fathers with children age six and under Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. starting May 11. Nobody’s Perfect is designed to strengthen positive parenting skills. This eight- to 10-week program provides parents with a safe place to meet others with
children of the same age and with whom they share interests and concerns. According to organizers, the sessions are free, interactive and fun. Childcare, snacks and books are available for participants. TTC tokens can be provided if required.
