An open house will be taking place tomorrow at Learning Enrichment Foundation’s (LEF) newest location. “We opened about three weeks ago,” said Ray Stephens, LEF client engagement coordinator, adding a full list of services are now being offered at 55 Emmett Ave., Unit 3. Those services include language training, settlement services, employment services, skills training, conversation circle, group workshops, community events, and volunteering opportunities. Stephens noted that five apartment buildings are situated along Emmett Avenue with plenty of community members that could use services offered by LEF, which also has locations at 116 Industry St. and 1267 Weston Rd. The open house, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Call 416-7690830 or email emmett@lefca. org for details.

Weston’s mayoral chain has been reported missing from the Weston Public Library. “It was in a case hanging
on the north wall and is now missing,” said Cherri Hurst of the Weston Historical Society last Friday.
“We would gladly take it back, no questions asked.” As of Tuesday afternoon, the chain was still missing, accord-
ing to an email from Michelle Leung of the Toronto Public Library. >>>historical, page 7
