The St. Clair Avenue and Oakwood Road area resident is pledging to ride from Regina to Toronto in May to raise money to help find a cure for Crohn’s disease and colitis. Abraham, also known as The Unicycle Guy, said he plans to take the TransCanada bike trail for most of

Wheel in motion for fundraising unicycle ride

Come skate for free at the Pearen Park Community Ice Rink this month at any time (except after dark) when the ice is frozen There are also free learnto-skate lessons available for local residents only. The lessons are scheduled to take place on weekdays between 4 and 6 p.m., and on weekends from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. at the rink located one

block west of Weston Road and north of Eglinton Avenue. Skates and helmets can be borrowed at a suggested donation of $1. Volunteers are also wanted to teach skating lessons as well as to help with skates, snowclearing and flooding. For more information, email rink@mountdennis.ca or call 416-614-3371.
