Weston-Mount Dennis residents came together last week
with all the right “ingredients” to celebrate the Recipe for Community project. Launched in Weston-Mount Dennis last year, the Recipe for Community project works to engage residents of all ages to strengthen community belonging by facilitating resident-
inspired projects. In partnership with the city, Toronto Community Foundation initiated the first Recipe for Community project in Alexandra Park, a public housing neighbourhood in downtown Toronto in 2009. The second was launched in
2011 at St. James Town, one of Canada’s largest and most dense highrise community. “This is our third one – all growing,” said Rahul Bhardwaj, president and CEO of Toronto Community Foundation, at the celebration event outside Weston Towers near Weston
