The York community has an opportunity to celebrate local Caribbean culture at the unveiling ceremony for Reggae Lane, happening Saturday. The laneway, located behind a strip of stores on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West at Oakwood Avenue, was ‘Reggae named by Lane’ to be city council last summer officially to reflect unveiled on t h e a r e a’s Saturday rich reggae r o o t s. T h e naming of the laneway was championed by local Councillor Josh Colle. Colle is hosting the celebration event along with The Laneway Project, the STEPS Initiative, and local Reggae musicians.
