Precautions to be taken to reduce risks:

There will be little freetime, if any, but if given, boundaries, safety rules and emergency procedures, including contingency plans in case of separation, will be made clear to students. Students will be oriented to the neighbourhood in which our hotel is located. Boundaries and out-of-bound areas will also be described. Mr. Burkett will carry a cell phone, medical and contact information for their groups, and first aid kits. He is trained in first aid. The two students must stay together during any free time.

Precautions to reduce exposure to COVID-19:

Location of nearest Emergency Medical Service:

There are six hospitals located near the hotel and Selwyn House. Our choice will be made based on the host’s recommendation, or if EMS is activated, they will decide. One close hospital is: Montreal General, 1650 CedarAve, Montreal.

Arrangements to be made to transport person/group to EMS:

In the event of a student with an injury, theYork staff member would assist the injured student and apply any necessary first aid. They would ensure the rest of the group is safe and stable. However, if there is a major accident requiring EMS, aYork School staff would accompany any student who would need to be taken to hospital.Teachers from the host school or other CIS school (e.g. Branksome Hall) would supervise the group.TheYork teacher will keep in contact with TheYork School and parents will be kept updated on the incident.
