This book is the catalog of Thailand's exhibition in the Interna- tional Architecture Exhibition, The 17th Venice Biennale, orga- nized by La Biennale di Venezia under the theme 'How will we live together?'. The concept of the theme in this Biennale is in line with the relationship and way of life between the ele- phants and the Kui people in Surin Province and thus is the origin of the Thailand exhibition "elephant" and the structure "Ban Khon Ban Chang" designed by Asst. Prof. Boonserm Premthada and curated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apiradi Kasemsuk, with support from the Office of Contemporary Art and Cul- ture, Ministry of Culture and the Association of Siamese Archi- tects under Royal Patronage.
