Mekong House is an outstanding architectural design by PAVA architects, an emerging talent among the new generation of Thai architects. Situated amid the natural surroundings of the Mekong River in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, this house is architecturally constructed as a simple rectangular shape, discreetly aligned with the flowing direction of the Mekong River. The architectural design of the building exemplifies the owner's humble character by employing a straightforward and honest vocabulary, adapting the vernacular architecture, and utilizing reclaimed wood from the area's historic structures. The outcome is a house that responds to the climate and embodies the serene and fertile nature with elegance.
