Join the Alumni Board of Directors and celebrate Thiel’s remarkable alumni at this annual awards ceremony. The Distinguished Alumni (Rev. Donald R. ’68 and Dr. Judith [Charlesworth] ’68 Thomas), Service to Thiel (Don Achenbach ’77 and Rae [Weiss] Johnson ’59) and Young Alumnus (Nathan Bissell ’02) awards will be presented.

Concert, Court Announcement and Zambelli Fireworks Alumni Stadium Parking Lot, Gate opens at 7 p.m.

Local talent Chris Higbee will perform at 8 p.m. followed by the announcement of the 2012 Homecoming court. Country music star Chris Cagle will take the stage after the announcement. Visit www.thiel.edu beginning Monday, Sept. 3 to purchase your tickets ($20 each). A spectacular fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale will cap off the evening.

Welcome Back Worship Johnson Memorial Chapel

Join President Troy VanAken and others for a scenic ride around Pymatuning and Conneaut Lakes (about 1½ hours). Riders can then join in the annual Homecoming parade. This breakfast celebrates alumni from reunion years (class years ending in 2 and 7). Members of the 25th and 50th reunion football teams will be honored.

Dedication of the new sidewalk from College Avenue to the Academic Center, donated by the Class of 2012.

Bring your future Tomcats (ages 3-12) to the Kids’ Zone for fun activities including caricatures, henna tattoos, free ice cream novelty treats, games and more!

Bring the entire family for this delicious barbecue tailgate meal. Cost is $5/person at the tent.

Take a world tour as the annual Homecoming parade makes its way through downtown Greenville (Main Street) to campus. Featuring the Tomcat Marching Pride band and various student and community organizations.

Transportation

Thiel is pleased to provide Homecoming guests with complimentary shuttle service between the Park Inn and campus at the following times on Saturday, Sept. 29: Park Inn pickup times: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 5:30 p.m. & 7 p.m. On-campus pickup times (in front of Passavant Center): 3:30 & 8 p.m. Downtown Greenville pickup times (for Tomcat Prowl): 11 p.m. & 2 a.m.

REGISTRATION: • Mail completed registration form and check payable to “Thiel College” (note “Homecoming” on memo line) to Thiel Alumni Office, 75 College Ave., Greenville, PA 16125. • Football tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth prior to the game. • Walk-up reservations are welcome, but events with seating capacity limits will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sorry, no refunds. ATTIRE: Show your Tomcat pride with your favorite blue and gold clothing! And be prepared for all weather with layers and rain gear. No attire restrictions apply. CHECK-IN: When you arrive on campus, stop by the Friends of Art Lounge in the HMSC to pick up your registration packet, name tag and weekend information. PARKING: Parking is provided in the Passavant Center Lot, on the north end of campus. If needed, shuttle service is available between the parking lot and Alumni Stadium on game day. FIND YOUR CLASSMATES: Looking for someone at Homecoming? Stop by the Alumni Association tent at Alumni Stadium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, where you will be able to see the full list of Homecoming attendees. CAMPUS TOURS: Campus tours are available for you and your guests upon request. Please send an e-mail to alumni@thiel.edu to schedule a tour during Homecoming weekend. Campus maps will be available at check-in as well.
