Around Miami

Welcome to our magazine—brought to you by Think Hospitality and designed to give you a taste of the vibrant world we’ve created. We’re so excited to share our Spring Issue with you, packed with everything we love about this season in Miami.

Spring always brings a buzz to our properties, whether it’s travelers discovering Miami for the first time or locals soaking up the energy of the city. And this year? It’s shaping up to be one for the books. With Miami Music Week, The Miami Open, and a lineup of amazing events, there’s no shortage of things to do, see, and experience.

For this issue, we’re taking a little trip back in time—step into our pastel paradise and celebrate the playful, retro charm of Miami’s Art Deco era. Shot at The Plymouth Hotel, our cover and editorial were inspired by the nostalgia of classic South Beach vacations, but with a fresh, modern twist that’s very now.

I would like to give a huge thank you to our wonderful creatives who helped bring this issue to life! Thank you to our photographer Isa Campomar @creativos_tigre, Cover model Alexandra Baron @alexandrabaron, Hair & Make-up Artist Yulia Afi @yulia.afi.muah and finally, our incredible graphic design team who complete this project, Grasstaken.com

So, flip through, get inspired, and let’s make this spring in Miami one to remember during your stay at a Think Hospitality property! ED I T O R ’ S N O T E

Warmest Regards,

Melody de la Fe

STAFF FEATURE

Gricel’s journey has been shaped by both personal inspiration and a deep commitment to creating memorable experiences for our guests.

How did you end up in hospitality, and what brought you to The Plymouth Hotel?

“I grew up surrounded by hospitality. My mother worked in the industry for over 20 years, and I often joined her at work. I loved watching how she interacted with people, making them smile and feel at home. That sense of joy and service resonated with me, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be part of this world.

When I came across The Plymouth Hotel, it was the perfect blend of everything I was looking for: historic charm, luxury, and an opportunity for growth. The hotel’s commitment to excellence and the evolving opportunities for personal development truly excited me, and I knew it was the right fit.”

What’s a day in your life like at the hotel?

“Every day is a little different, but one thing that’s constant is the camaraderie among the team. There’s so much joy and laughter shared across every department, and it really feels like we’re a family. Whether I’m ensuring our rooms are spotless or coordinating with other departments, it’s the genuine connections between the staff that make every day special.

What do you love most about working at The Plymouth?

“There’s something incredibly rewarding about walking into a property as beautiful as The Plymouth and knowing that my leadership can make a difference in both the team’s success and the guest experience. It’s a blend of pride and responsibility—ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile and that the team feels valued and supported.”

The Plymouth Vibe

This hotel is a mix of luxury and history. How do you bring that special vibe to guests each day?

“It's all about striking the balance between maintaining the hotel’s rich history while offering modern luxury and comfort. I focus on delivering top-notch cleanliness and service, all while ensuring that my team is genuinely happy and engaged. A happy team creates an atmosphere that radiates positivity, and that vibe translates directly into the guest experience.”
