Great work by Richard Raven on your deep dive into Beverage spend in EMEA – your efforts will drive greater alignment with the F&D team and additional revenue for operators and HSM.

Many thanks to Anne-Sophie Jabouina Duhard and Taher Adamjee for their innovative work on the Robotics RFP – this will significantly benefit properties in optimising labour in hotels.

Shout out to Ashley Vickery for her constant positive attitude, work ethic and humor.

Kim Nguyen – seeing you support the PCard program and now grow in new ways is so wonderful. Thank you for all you do!

Laura Beumer, it has been so wonderful to work with you on this recent engagement and get to know you better as a colleague, leader and person. You are a great female leader!

Angela Row – thank you for being you. You are a deeply wonderful person and I’m grateful to work with you at HSM.

Mike Shnaps – thank you for all that you do at HSM. You continue to keep a “steady hand on the (finance) wheel” while also encouraging us as we soar to new heights.

Big shout out to Lisa Sapp for representing Sales Ops on the Smart Spend on Property pilot in Florida, and then successfully rolling it out to the rest of her managed hotels. Lisa always has a positive attitude, brings great ideas to the table and is willing to help no matter the ask. Her level of professionalism is admirable, and it’s a pleasure working with her. Thank you Lisa for all you do!

To the HR Leadership Team – thank you for working with HSM Corporate Procurement on so many initiatives. We are so excited to now become One Team and learn from you!

Shout out to Michelle Larrabee for always being there for her team – she works tirelessly to help them successfully navigate challenging situations, and we appreciate her and her leadership!

Kelly Scanlon’s consistent positive outlook is infectious. Her warmth is the perfect complement to the team!

Ashley Snead provides consistent, detailoriented support to complex projects and helps lessen the load for our project team. She’s taken on even more responsibility this year in her new role and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thank you, Ashley!

Insiya Sunelwala –shout out for great work organizing distribution planning data and helping to launch our new textiles program successfully!

Shout out to the AMAZING Purchasing card and Supplier Payments team! This small but mighty team successfully implemented the AmEx Purchasing card program last summer and continues to work with our AmEx partners to expand our AmEx ePayments program. The team also supports 1,300+ cardholders across corporate and managed properties ensuring Purchasing cards are a useful tool for our fellow team members. Thank you so much for embodying the Hilton values and for your energy, focus and cando attitudes. It’s truly a pleasure to work with this team!

Thank you Brittany Collins, Connor Bareswilt, Latanya Trouser, and Nicholas Hernandez for all the hard work and effort on the Smart Spend on Property project. Supplier Enablement would not be where its at without your help!

Thank you also to our amazing leader. Dorothy is courageous in her decision making, treats others with empathy and the utmost respect and is grateful for the input and efforts of those she leads. Although Dorothy leads a group with very diverse objectives and directives, she has successfully blended us together to make a powerful team; to learn from each other, to support each other and to empower us to take on our different challenges.

A massive thank you to you, Angela Row, for keeping the team together! You can juggle between 10 jobs and still manage to finalize them all. I am so happy we got to work together again this year on a big project, and you can definitely be proud of the end result!

To the core team continental Europe: Sander van den Bosch, Ricardo Pereira, Veronic Balogh, Dorian Teensma, Anna Szewczak and Ignacio Del Valle, you are superstars! Thank you for your leadership and for all the fun moments we have during our meetings. Lots of appreciation for you all!

It is such a pleasure to work with Maikel Trienes as our leader in Continental Europe. He is always eager to go above and beyond for his customers, his projects and his suppliers, but most importantly, his team. Anything is possible, and that sometimes means working hard, but this also gives so much validation, appreciation and future possibilities in return. Thanks, Maikel, for helping us to become a better team and better individuals each day!

Borbon Feng – Thank you so much for your hard working despite of your hard time last year because of the heart disease.  Please take good care of yourself and we will have a lot more projects to work together!

Fahmida Begum, your punchout setup skills are next level! Thanks for making it easier for our hotels to purchase and process invoices on Smart Spend!

I’d like to shout out Megan Bunck for her willingness to “do the right thing” for Hilton, her clients and her co-workers. Megan is always ready to go beyond the basic requirement and add that extra effort to make people feel special. There is a comfort in dealing with Megan to know that things will get done correctly and timely! If I was starting my own company, I would hire 100 Megans!

HSM Sales and Services Team - I want to acknowledge the overall support that our Sales and Services team provides to our 700 accounts (and growing) on a daily basis. We continue to deliver great results while supporting the HSM program across the Americas. Thank you for a great year so far…I really appreciate it!

Job well done to Werner Schumacher, who identified $40K in missing admin fees from a single property that was not onboarded correctly to our Chefs Warehouse program.

Sander van den BoschA true partner in crime that continuously look for growth and opportunities! Thanks for all you do!

Shoutout to Maria Ferrese for her time and dedication to finding workable solutions for excess Allergy-Friendly DoubleTree cookie inventory and communicating with various teams to relay and summarize all of the data.

Well done to Anna Jernigan for leading two GM training sessions for expanded in-room coffee testing with more than 40 hotels last week. You set up the project, shared information clearly, and fielded questions effectively.

Dorian Teensma - Dorian, you also just joined HSM a year ago, but with your sales approach, we have been able to add many new groups to our Northern region in Europe. Thank you for always being sales minded, creative and looking at things from a different perspective.

Thank you, Ingy Helal and Ilyas Bhatti, for recently organizing a fantastic Egypt & Arabian Peninsula purchasing managers’ meeting in Luxor, Egypt. We celebrated our accomplishments, collaborated on new initiatives and committed to reaching new heights!

Kudos to Leena Baran for her work on getting the CATMAN process started again and ensuring HSM is able to adjust the rebates and discounts.

Shoutout to Jim Allen for executing the Betty Buzz contract.

Shoutout to Matt Renneberg for all his efforts in putting together a great Aluminum Water Bottle solution for Highgate via Rain. This program has a great upside potential for more HSM customers and Hilton brands.

A BIG thank you to Inga Liebergesell for quickly finding basket solutions for the Partake x DoubleTree Allergen-Friendly cookies that will be sent to each property to help promote the new cookies.

Kudos to Alex Shockley for all of his effort in bringing our Responsible Sourcing to light, specifically GH Pork & CF Eggs.

Huge shoutout to Erika Malhotra for all her coordination in sourcing DT cookies (both Original and Allergen-Friendly) for the Memphis, Dallas and McLean Corporate Office activation in support of Hilton being named #1 Best Place to Work in the US.

Shoutout to Yousef Alghamdi and his team for successfully navigating complex matters in our rapidly growing Saudi Arabian markets. Well done!

Great work, Heather Fitzhugh, for taking retail by the reins this year and leading the elevated retail Tri-Brand launch with Hampton, Home2, and Tru. Heather has been a guiding light for our stakeholders in Brands F&B to ensure a timely launch for a first-of-its-size drop shipment to almost 2,000 properties from two different suppliers. Since launch, she has been working with Nia Parker, a contractor on our team, to ensure we are sharing executive summaries and top-selling items with our stakeholders. Lastly, she has been busy negotiating with almost 40 manufacturers to create LOUs and contracts for these items to ensure the best possible pricing for our properties and new revenue for HSM.

A big thank you to you Meachel Bentic. Your hard work and dedication cannot go unnoticed. Even when the work gets tough, you inspire the team with your smile and care. It’s hard to imagine out team without you and your expertise in contracts is invaluable.

Christopher Toy = Bull in a China shop / Vito Curalli = Majestic Swan. At Hunter 2024, Vito and I had a chance to sit down with a client and try to move the business forward. Per conversations with the client, they wanted a simple straight forward meeting that got to the base desires of what they wanted to join our program. As the meeting started, the client was very forward and short with there requests, and as I was about to do as they asked, Vito came in on a carpet of satin and did the most magical thing that I have ever seen a sales professional do. What was to be a 10 minute meeting turned into a hour plus long meeting that had the client sharing information with us that he didn’t even think they were going to share. At the end of the conversation, we had more intel on how to move forward and earn their business then ever thought, all because of how Vito handled the conversation. I had a first hand seat at a Master Class of sales watching Vito work and each day I try to implement just ONE thing that I saw that day to better help my skill grow. Thank you Vito for letting your sales genius shine and give me another ring to go after.

If there is every anything I do not know, I at least know the person that I am going to call that can help me know that information, or point me in the right direction to obtain that information. Jonathan Cooper’s crazy work ethic is contagious and having someone so dedicated on the team brings comfort knowing that our customers are well taken care of. He has done an incredible job in putting together one of the best teams of account managers in the industry. With so many accounts that our team has to touch, Jonathan had to find a well seasoned and experienced team to be in the trenches with him on a day in and day out basis. He has struck gold with a fantastic team around him. SHOUT OUT to Megan, Stephanie, Michelle (and I guess MATT too) for being absolute ROCK STARS, Each one of you is incredible in your own right and I am so blessed to have you all with us. Knowing that you all carry industry backgrounds bring peace when we jump on those onboarding calls to show to the client that not only do we know procurement, but we know the hospitality business too. Having out of the box thinkers and people that go above and beyond each day brings excitement and joy to the job. Knowing that people that work beside you are as vested in the success as you are is good to have. Kaz Gooding has been an integral part of our team since joining HSM earlier this year. We appreciate all of the skills and enthusiasm he brings to work each day, and he’s played a significant role in developing key reports and analysis for our many of our stakeholders in a short period of time

Since joining HSM in late 2023, Bonnie Marcinkowski has embraced every element of being part of the team. Her willingness to jump right in and put her skills to use are invaluable and so appreciated. Fantastic job Bonnie!

John DiCarlo Old school to the core, John DiCarlo has been a constant guide to me during my time here at HSM. Helping me take a step back and do things at a different view and speed has helped me be successful in my time with HSM. Additionally, John has been a guide in many other facets as well, helping ensure that I understand how to talk to certain clients and people, how to adjust who Chris Toy is around different audiences as well. He is not one to shy away from the hard conversations and take time to pull you aside and tell you when you messed up, but then show you how to be better. This guidance has been critical in my growth and I am forever grateful to have someone that is as honest and forward as John by my side. He is one heck of a human being!
