THIS IS THOMAS

“My mom and I drove through the campus at night with all the street lights on and it was just this overwhelming sense of coming home. That’s what Thomas felt like. After going everywhere else, coming to Thomas was just like coming back home. And that is a feeling that has stuck with me and still have with me on campus today.”

THIS IS THOMAS

Inside this viewbook, you’ll find key information about programs, admissions, and student life.

A college degree can be the extra credential you need to land the dream job you've always wanted. Getting your bachelor's degree may also allow you to view your work as a career and not just a job.

Maximize your time in college while setting yourself up for success.

Complete your bachelors degree in three years and masters degree in one year. You’ll get more in less time, while still getting the full college experience. Plus, you’ll be set up for success after college with a job in your field, guaranteed.

I knew that by studying here, I would receive the education and support I need to pursue my dream of becoming a middle school teacher specializing in math and science.

70% of students complete one or more internships.

THOMAS MENTAL HEALTH TEAM

TERRIERS TACKLE THE STIGMA

As part of this work with JED, Thomas College formed a team of staff, faculty and students to lead a multi-year strategic collaboration that not only assesses and enhances the work that is already being done but also helps create positive, lasting, systemic change in the campus community.

I am proud to be part of an institution that has made a 4-year initial commitment with the JED Foundation to methodically identify and address areas where we can be better for our students.

WHAT IS THE JED FOUNDATION?

The JED Foundation (JED) is designed to help schools evaluate and strengthen their mental health, substance misuse, and suicide prevention programs and systems to ensure that schools have the strongest possible mental health safety nets. There are currently over 450 campuses engaged in the JED Campus program.

Thomas College student and Searsport, ME native, Cole Ellis, won second place in Season 9 of Greenlight Maine’s College Edition business competition show in 2024.

Cole is heading into his second year at Thomas College studying marketing and entrepreneurship. He pitched his business, Keep it Clean Heat Pumps, a service and cleaning company out of Searsport, ME.

SAFETY & SECURITY

DEPARTMENT MISSION:

The Thomas College Department of Safety & Security will build trust in the community through transparent actions and positive engagement, and will leverage technology, community policing, and employee development to build relationships that encourage community-oriented behaviors.

As a parent with two daughters who are current and past Thomas students, security and safety is a big deal to me. Knowing they are on a small campus with robust safety protocols and a conscientious security team puts my mind at ease. I even got to meet members of the security team who know my kids personally.
