Nuclear power plans frozen PLANS to build a new nuclear power station near Thornbury have been put on hold. Horizon Nuclear Power has suspended its entire UK development programme, which would have seen a new
plant with two reactors built at Shepperdine, near Oldbury-onSevern. The new power station was expected to cost around £14 billion and provide enough electricity to power more than
