Pedro’s big trip

After the longest flight Pedro ever had had in his 12 year old life the plane touched down in Iraq. Pedro and his family were very excited. They sped to their campsite with the rental car. ‘’I can't wait to go exploring’’ Pedro exclaimed. Once the site was set setup Pedro went exploring the area.
‘’be safe ‘’ Pedro’s mom said. After walking about a mile pedro found a dark cave. ‘’I wonder what's in here ‘’ Pedro said out loud. He entered the long dark cave,He walked for a while a bit scared of the cave. Then Pedro saw a light at the end of it and realized it is not a cave and that it is a tunnel, He finally exited the cave and looked around. He decided to walk around keeping close watch of the tunnel so he does not lose it. Suddenly the ground below him cracks and he falls down the ditch.
‘’AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH’’ he yelled as fell down the pit. He landed on a hard piece of rock. First he didn't know what it is then he saw that is the hanging gardens of babylon. ‘’WOW’’ he whispered in astonishment . He looksed around to see the wonderful gardens. He walked around the wonderful city with his camera in hand.
Suddenly he noticed 3 statues of men with beards and he stopped to look at them and saw that they are carefully engraved. He decided to put them in his bag . it was getting dark and Pedro knew he had to get back soon. So he climbed out of the hole stuffing his camera into his bag and he entered the tunnel.

When he is out of the tunnel he stopped at a lake to get a drink. He suddenly then fells into the lake he luckily swam out but he could not save the bag. When he finally got home he tells all about it. ‘’It was wonderful and beautiful ‘’ ‘’But I dropped my bag one the way back and it had status and my camera in it’’ Pedro says excitedly.
‘’Sure you did ‘’ says his older sister ‘’You have quite an imagination’’ says his mother. Pedro was about to say something but then he decided he would never win that argument and dropped it. That night he thought about all the wonderful things he saw.
He thought the gardens were beautiful. He wished he still had his bag with the status so he could show everyone. The next morning Pedro decided he would show them. ‘’I will show it to you today’’ Pedro said. ‘’Sorry buddy we have to leave there was an emergency back home.’’ his dad said Pedro and his family sadly drove to the airport and boarded the plane.
On the way home to new york Pedro thought about his amazing trip and how fun it had been. He knew that if they ever came back he would show the world the hanging gardens of babylon.
