Finding Noah’s Ark By: Jack Ballenger
Andy was exhausted. He had flown a 12 hour flight from Baltimore, Maryland to Baghdad, Iraq, with his mom of course. At Baghdad Airport, his mom dropped him off and they said their goodbyes. His expedition in the Middle East was to climb a Turkish mountain, Mount Arrat. Andy was a mountain climber, that was his specialty.
The next day, Andy found a taxi to take him to Turkey. “ Where to?” the man asked in an Iranian accent. “ Turkey,” Andy replied. “Ugh, that’s so long,” the man complained. The man turned into a lane and sped off for Turkey.
Andy was officially in Turkey. After the super long drive he felt cramps in his legs. After walking a short while he came to a shack that sold food. He ate and got some provisions for the road. After eating, Andy hiked to the mountain.
“ Wow,” Andy said amazed. The mountain was so beautiful, he had to get some pictures. He reached in his pocket and pulled out his camera. Snap! “Perfect,” he said,“This is going to be great.”
Andy marched up the mountain in pride. By 9 o’clock at night, he had climbed a quarter up the mountain. He set up camp and feasted on his provisions. At ten, he went to bed.
Andy honestly couldn’t sleep. He’d tried everything. He saw this as an opportunity to go night exploring, his favorite thing to do. He found his way out of his tent and walked west across the mountain. This was going to be awesome.
Andy wandered around an area of the mountain mindlessly. Then he saw a vast object. It looked like a giant moccasin shoe. He ran toward it. Now this was interesting.
Andy stood in a grassy area before the mysterious object. He saw something engraved into it: Noah’s Ark. “Oh my gosh, it’s Noah’s Ark, I’m going to take a picture of it, ” he exclaimed. He entered the mysterious ark and traveled all it’s interconnected tunnels, it was amazing.
Andy, finally, exited the ark and went back to his camp. The next morning Andy went back to Baghdad by taxi. He was so sad to leave Turkey. He sure had an adventure there.
On the plane, he reflected on his experience. He had climbed up 25% up Mount. Arrat, found Noah’s Ark, and explored it. “What’s that smile for?” the passenger asked next to him. “I found Noah’s Ark,” he replied. “No!” he said not believing.
Andy pulled out his camera and showed the picture of Noah’s Ark he had taken, he almost forgot about this. “Wow, you actually found it!” he said shocked. “Yes, yes I did, I wish I could get this picture in the newspaper.” The man handed the camera back, he was sure amazed. “I work for the newspaper, and I am going to write this in an article.” THE END... or is it?
