OBJECTIVES This course has ten specific aims, developed over the period of the semester: First Phase to Design a Pop Up Store for Elsa Peretti SESSION 1 FORMAL MODULATION To understand and control the idea of spatial modulation. To understand the relation existing between human body and constructed artifacts. To understand how geometry, material and light editing affect our perception. To analyze the relation between geometry, material, lighting and user experience. SESSION 2 BRANDING To read and understand the tangible and intangible dimensions of Elsa Peretti. To understand Elsa Peretti vision. To master the relation existing between space design and the transformation of today culture and society. To compare and understand different type of retail strategy (flagship, pop up, window). SESSION 3 REPRESENTATION TECHNIQUES To develop a culture that the experiential qualities of a pop up space and the integration of built components. To associate the care for experimentation with precision and attention to design representation. TTo improve fundamental architectural design skills – 2d,3d, renders. To improve modeling tools (physical and digital). To improve prototyping skills.

Form Generation
Experimentation
This concept explores the density and thickness based on the techniques of pushing and pulling creating that carved sculpted form. The form acts as a landscape piece that provides circulation around it while showcasing all the Jewllery & products and providing seating resulted from the gesture of pulling the form.

Glassware & silverware Misc. Accessories ( paper weight, etc. )
The pushing & pulling technique is used to create different density and thickness shaping a sculpted form. Silver accessories

Form & Transparency
I have studied about the relationship between form and transparency. The form that I designed is creating different degrees of transparency and it will allow various user experiences by changing its physical properties such as scale, density, and thickness. The idea for the translucent wall is from the analysis of Elsa Peretti’s design technics and jewelry. The space would be proposed for the pop-up store, and the varied translucent surfaces will emphasize her jewelry and products with front spotlights, and its shadows at the back.

Blooming Teardrop
Concept
A tear drop fall on ground. The moment it blooming.
Material effect by gravity and target objects which have similar identity. The sublime asymmetry and sensuous contours have an ergonomic quality that makes them one with the body.

Material Test Model I develope some models in dierent mateial——paper and wood. I want to explore the shape and transprency of the models. And also I want to see how the shape can respond to the wind. So that I can combine the enviroment and the space together.
