TIBET HOUSE US Tibet House US is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 and was founded in 1987 at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who stated his wish for a long-term cultural institution to ensure the survival of the unique Tibetan civilization, whatever the political destiny of the six million people of Tibet may be. THE AUCTION WILL BENEFIT THE ONGOING PROGRAMS OF TIBET HOUSE US
In 1998, Tibet House US moved to a 7,000 square foot permanent home with an exhibition gallery on 15th Street, just west of Fifth Avenue in New York City. The whole space is a museum which includes a gallery, lending library, museum shop and offices.

At the heart of Tibet House US is the Lhakang Shrine Room, designed and created by Tibetan artists working with traditional methods and materials. 8. Tibet House US reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time before the actual sale. Unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale, all bids are per lot as numbered in the auction catalogue.
