MaghullÊs Great War This service marks the culmination of the MADCOS (Maghull and District Community of Schools) WWI Project, ÂMaghullÊs Great WarÊ, which has been sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund. During the project hundreds of children in the district have been involved in learning about how WWI affected their locality. As part of their studies they have experienced cookery, singing, artefacts and other workshops to bring the work to life. Through this project we hope to have left a lasting legacy for the whole community; that those involved will pass on their knowledge to their children and to their childrenÊs children. Further information about the project will soon be found at madcos.org.uk We would like to add further local stories. If you would like to contribute please use the contact details on the website. We would particularly like to thank Bruce Hubbard and Richard Nicholson, without whose time and expertise this project would not have been possible.
