Programme On The Squares

On Brno’s central náměstí Svobody (Freedom Square), the fun-packed market enjoys the backdrop of the Functionalist facade by architect Bohuslav Fuchs, or the Omega Palace, with its overwhelming illuminated facade of changing colours. On Dominikánské náměstí (Dominican Square), framed by the Baroque New Town Hall, the focus is more on the amazing gastronomy. A predominantly handicraft market, meanwhile, is on Zelný trh (Vegetable Market), where its traditional Yuletide offer encircles the monumental Parnas fountain by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Finally, Moravské náměstí (Moravian Square) will offer space for Ferris wheel.
