What are you looking forward to the most during your term as leader? I’m looking forward to serving my school and fellow Selbornians in a way that will ignite the F.I.R.E (faith, integrity, respect and enthusiasm) within us as Selbornians and make 2021 a memorable year. What are your strengths and weaknesses? I would like to think of myself as quite a well-disciplined, motivated and determined person. My biggest weakness as a 17-yearold has to be a sizzling steak off the braai. Is there anything you would like to change at your school? In a world going through so much change and chaos at the moment, Selborne College is one thing that I would want to stay the same. No school is perfect, but after walking out of the College gates at the end of every day, I can honestly say that I’m a better person and in my eyes that’s what a school is for. What do you love the most about your school? Every time I walk through those gates, I feel part of something bigger than myself, bigger than just a school, a brotherhood. This brotherhood is what makes Selborne different and what every Selbornian falls in love with.
Matric is your final year, from an academic point of view, what are you aiming for? Academically I would like to achieve the best results possible and to be able to further my studies at university. What will your message of encouragement be for your prefects/co-leaders? You have been elected by your peers to lead this school, that means that they have confidence and trust that you’ll lead the school in a way that it uplifts its name. Believe in yourself and be confident because you deserve this role, so just own it! Palma Virtuti.

Who is your role model? Beyonce Knowles Carter. Her work ethic and artistry are praiseworthy. She is such a force to be reckoned within everything she does.
What will your message of encouragement be for your prefects/co-leaders? Not everyone will support your vision and you will face many challenges, but as long as you’re changing things for the better, believe in yourself and know that many people, including myself, are rooting for you.
If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why? Raven from Teen Titans, because I just love her vibe. On a regular Saturday, you will find me at…with… You will find me at home with my siblings or friends.

Enige boodskap van aanmoediging vir jou mede-leiers? Aan my is die mag gegee, nie om my eie oogmerke te bevorder, `n groot skouspel te maak of gewildheid te geniet nie. Daar is maar een ware gebruik van mag en dit is om diensbaar te wees. Waarna sien jy die meeste uit tydens jou tydperk as leier by jou skool? Om `n verskil in die leerders se lewe te maak, veral die graad 8’s. Hulle moet kan opkyk na die leiers van die skool en ons moet hulle kan inspireer deur hulle te verwelkom en tuis te laat voel.
Wat sou jy sê is jou sterk- en swakpunte? My sterkpunte is dat ek graag na mense luister en baie geduld het. My swakpunt is dat ek altyd almal wil tevrede stel en dan raak ek moedeloos wanneer ek dit nie reg kry nie. Wat geniet jy die meeste van jou skool? Ons is almal soos familie by die skool. Ons ondersteun mekaar op die sportveld, sowel as akademiese en kulturele gebied. Wie is jou Hollywood ‘celeb crush’? Shawn Mendes.
Waarna sien jy die meeste uit tydens jou tydperk as leier by jou skool? Ek is baie opgewonde om met my mede leiers en hoofleiers die nuwe graad 8 leerders te verwelkom. Ek hoop ook om my leierskapsposisie te gebruik om uit te reik na soveel leerders as moontlik en te help waar ek kan. Wie is jou rolmodel? My rolmodel is beslis my ma. Sy is my rots en sonder haar sou ek nie die seun gewees het wat ek vandag is nie. Haar vriendelikheid teenoor almal en haar sterk Christelike waardes is dit
waarna ek opkyk en ek streef daarna om nes my ma altyd ‘n hulpende hand te hê. As jy ‘n super-hero kon wees, wie sou dit wees en waarom? Alhoewel ek gril vir spinnekoppe, sou ek dit geniet om die aller bekende “Spider-Man” te kon wees. Hy red mense, sy kostuum is my gunsteling en dan boonop dit, kan hy teen ‘n hoë spoed in die strate rond swaai. Wie is jou Hollywood ‘celeb crush’ Ariana Grande.

What do you love the most about your school?
The thing I love the most about my school is the hostel because there are boys from different backgrounds that not only go to school together
If you could be any superhero, who do you want to be and why? The Great Gorilla M’baku from the The Black Panther as he symbolizes strength and independence. He is one of Wakanda’s greatest warriors and my spirit animal is a Gorilla.

What I’m looking forward to the most is what I can bring bring to the table as Head Boy that will contribute to change in the attitudes of both teachers and learners. I believe our attitudes play a big role in life so if we can change our attitudes imagine what we can accomplish in the long run.
but have to live together and adapt to different situations and different personalities. We become brothers in hostel and the bonds and traditions we have is unmatched. Another thing I also love about my school is the rugby, obviously.
