Co-Curricular Program Remember to do your co-curricular hours! You need 13 hours of personal development and 13 hours of service learning in order to fulfill your graduation requirements at Tiffin University. You can use activities you have completed up to five years ago. You cannot be paid for any of these activities. In addition, the activities that you submit for co-curricular hours cannot be required of you from your employer, teacher, or another individual. You can receive personal development hours for activities that allow you to better yourself. These activities allow you to grow as an individual. Examples of personal development activities are attending a workshop that helps improve your job skills, such as resume writing seminars or interview workshops; an unpaid internship; and attending cultural activities, such as art exhibits, music concerts, or theatre productions. You can receive service learning hours for volunteer work with churches, schools, and non-profit organizations. Examples of service learning activities are being a volunteer coach, a tutor, and volunteering within a classroom. In addition, donating blood is also an example of a service learning activity. Please remember to fill out the co-curricular form. Submit this form to your advisor so they can keep a copy in your advising file and submit the original to the co-curricular committee. The co-curricular committee typically meets once a month; therefore, please allow 30-45 days in order to find out if your hours that were submitted were approved or denied for co-curricular credit. If you should have any questions about whether or not an activity would count as co-curricular you can reach out to your advisor for some guidance. Co-Curricular Form: https://tunet.tiffin.edu/ics/Admissions/Co-Curricular_at_Tiffin_ University/Default_Page.jnz?portlet=Co-Curricular_Information How do you know if your co-curricular hours are approved? Students are able to keep track of the number of cocurricular hours that they have earned on the Co-Curricular Database. Click Here to Enter the Co-Curricular Database. You will enter your social security number (with no dashes) for your Student ID. The hours that appear are approved hours. Please check your TU e-mail on a regular basis.
